Picked up this chamfering/deburring tool earlier this year: https://a.co/d/asuffbg

Pretty useful if you're cutting stuff out of plate. It does a nice job and comes with both straight and rounded blades to do chamfers and fillets to edges. Adjustable depth so you can do as little or as much as you want.

I also (unfortunately) had use for this kit the other day: Amazon.com

Walked out after work and found the passenger rear tire completely flat from a screw lodged in the tread. I picked up this kit awhile back and this is the third time I've used it. The tools are all nice and sturdy - not like some of the el cheapo stuff - and a nice laminated step-by-step instruction card if things aren't obvious to the user.

A bit of a struggle, but I got a three polyester ply two steel belt BFG AT plugged and holding air again within twenty minutes and same air pressure four days later so I'll call it good.

Another add to the stash. Just got this vintage Manzel engine stand at a yard sale of all places. Mostly made of cast aluminum and only weighs 80ish lbs. Plan is to refinish it and use.

Game changer for the heavy stuff

Not sure I would have the balls to try that "tool" Ed. At a minimum I would have 911 on standby.
Im curious how much this quiets the shot. Seeing how all of the gasses are going into the machine and only sending some back through the chamber. AKA how mad would my neighbors be at me if i got one of these hahahaha

Rated up to 338 Win Mag or 4100FP muzzle energy. Biggest I've put in it is 308.

Muffles the sound a bit but definitely still need hearing protection. With shop doors closed though I doubt neighbors can hear it. Or if they do it's not recognizable as a gun shot. Vents gases from two places and if I used it a lot I'd plumb some sort of vacuum.

For @WarDamnEagle - still looking for a couple more 6ft Stronghold cabinets but in the meantime I picked up a couple of 4x3 units. I like the 3ft depth. Missing a couple shelves in one but I think I can order direct from SH. Figure I can use the storage space more than I can a full width door into bathroom!

3ft deep is a serious cabinet! That would be excellent for long tools in cases.

I'm curious how much the shelves are if you end up pricing them out. I have one that has some big holes cut in the shelves. I just covered them with plywood, but if they were reasonable...

I have a pair of 3ft x 2ft strongholds I converted into toolholder storage to hold about 500 Cat50 and Cat40 tools in my shop. I like my tools organized and clean inside cabinets so I made exactly what I wanted.

Drool... definitely a cabinet not to stick your hand in quickly though!

These are 2 shelves deep so I'd need 2 at $109 ea direct from SH. No idea what they charge for shipping. Probably need to check for other sources.

Also found this place for $15 cheaper each and $35 shipping. Looks legit but not sure.

I think that's too much trouble and expense. You should just bring them over to my house. 😂

Teach the new shop hand real quick this one bites back! 😑😆

Cheers

When i closed my machine shop business, sold my home, and moved almost 3 years ago, i kept a few of the manual machines from my business, and moved them to my new home, Below are just a few photos of some of that equipment,
First up is an American made Nugier 25 ton HYD press

New acquisition day.. Dake 75 ton press. Been wanting something like this for awhile

Cleaned up (I don’t think anyone cleaned this thing EVER!), oil changed and located in its forever home.
Second pic shows outgoing HF 20 ton for scale. Need to re-locate fire exitinguiser.

Fun fact, I purchased this from a shop that made commemorative coins for NASA and many other space agencies for their spaceflights.

I totally forgot about this thread or I would have posted my Clausing 15 Drill Press find here instead of starting a new thread. But that's last week's news.

This week I managed to get a Baldor 7351 Pedestal Grinder that Alabama Power had up for auction. Most of the used ones are 3 phase so I feel pretty fortunate to have found a single phase unit in really good condition. Just started to clean it up but it's pretty much plug and play. Runs incredibly smooth considering it's 3600 rpm.

Definitely going to need some type of dust control. Unfortunately a new Baldor bespoke unit is $3k so that's a non starter for my $600 all-in grinder. Thinking maybe I can rig some ductwork to one of my shop vacs?
