So you are using the dented oil filter? I've read that dents can damage the internal of the filter, restricting flow or allow a crack to form along the dent edges causing a leak. Just a thought

Should be fine to just run it up to temp and drain the additive, it’s fresh oil and he’d only be trying to catch the big stuff ... why waste a new filter?

Darn camera is freaking out, so I'll post what pictures I have. Guess it doesn't like the shop environment. I need to find one that smaller, lighter and takes a beating ASAP.

I have really enjoyed following your build threads. Your attention to detail is incredible! Thank you for taking the time to help out others. I would love to get on the list, as a potential buyer, for one of your future projects.
Thank you and you're welcome. Ok, PM me and we'll exchange emails and talk!

Thanks for your concern @Njck22. I've not read that, but I too have concern. I'll shut down if oil pressure gauge doesn't look normal and investigate.

@tucker74 My feeling exactly.;)

New pipe flange to manifold Exhaust Gasket and Nuts.

I did not place exhaust pipe gaskets on pipe flange pre install of engine, to mitigate risk of damage. Good thing, as it would have been hit with stud for sure!

Transmission cooler lines along engine block attaching to bracket would have been easier with front differential out of the way.

Sweet write up, thanks!!

On the unicorn thing, are non navigation versions worth more? I’m sure it’s not in the real world :grinpimp: but what about here on Mud?? I may have come across one but is my last choice of colors which is gold. It’s a 2006 with under 100k miles. Wondering if I should pursue this one or not.

Looks like you're not too far from firing this thing up
Engine wise, I am close. You may have notice other stuff like front drive shafts are out, as well as brakes. Also a decision was just made to totally redo brakes end to end. I've still got a tone of recondition & installing parts before drivable. But, I may start up early while on stands, will see.;)

I've seen that "Gold 06" twice in last few years for sale.
IMHO Unicorn's (03-07 no NAV) are worth more for two reason:
1) Few in lower 48 of USA (rarity).
2) Totally independent climate control.
Other like the easy of upgrading the NAV/AV, so a third reason. This 07 has none of the Factory or Dealer options (NAV, DVD player or spoiler) and it's Silver.

Other value adds:
VVT added power more expensive engine, made May 05-07 is worth more.
2007 not only being last year, but fewest of the 100 series imported to USA, raraity worth more.
Can we get a video of the first start up??:bounce2::clap::popcorn::steer:
I get so nervous anytime a Timing belt off, I'll try to remember for you!

PCV valve & hoses.

After clean & inspecting PCV valve I installed it with thread sealer. (Stock photo)

I use old hose for indication of clap position. RH PCV Hose.

LH PCV hose.

(Old PCV stock photo) Once I see cracking at about 7 years, I replace.

Heater Tees install, is a snap with right pliers (wish I had themo_O). But just follow the correct sequence of clamping and it's no problem. I use soapy water (Dawn Dish Soap is best), to lubricate hoses for install. Lubing helps reduce strain put on pipe during installation, make hoses just slip right on.

With new hose on engine, I can place clamps turned as I wish. With old hoses, I must put clamp in same position they have been sinces factory. Notice distance each hose is from end, to far in on lip of pipe and they may leak.
