Cool Cruiser. Do you have a build thread?
I put it in the hard core corner, not the it's a hard core crawler. But, for me cutting one in half and stretching one is.

Don’t be a hater :flipoff2::flipoff2:
No hating. I'm behind the wheel of an 80 right now. I love them for what they are and aren't. I have dreams of building a 1fz. Just gotta stop hemorrhaging money into the 40 then I can figure out what my next irresponsible purchase will be. 🤣

There are other things to invest in other than a 40?

Sure.

Firearms.
Other cruisers
I want 76 dentside Ford
A 2wd 72 chev pickup
My 76 Datsun 280Z back

Then there's always the things that make money or build wealth. Which I've been completely ignoring the last 3 years..... 🤣 I won't live long enough to see retirement anyways.

I thought it would never happen, but I did both 😜

Did you all hear about the rock fall on Camp Bird Road?

Hopefully they get that cleared as it’s a main thoroughfare to many of the trails 😳

This happen two or three years ago as well. They got it cleared and we had no issues while on the section in August.

Reposting this here from the SAS8 thread. Thanks @devo.

Sounds worse than the mud/rock slide a few years ago.
Quote from article"
"Getting that part of the road repaired and open for off-road travel this summer is "a very optimistic timeline," a USFS ranger told the Telluride Times last week."

All them one percenters that didn't grow up in Telluride, don't want those hillbilly tourists accidentally stumbling over the mountain and coming across their perfect little ski town.

This immediately comes to mind...

"Stay out of Malibu, Lebowski! Stay out of Malibu, deadbeat! Keep your ugly f%#*in' goldbrickin' a$$ out of my beach community!"

Thanks for re-posting here on the #9. Some reason I couldn’t find it?

I have to keep in mind that there may not be the FS personnel available to work the equipment necessary to make these types of road repairs!

Guess, we will have to go in on the Telluride side and go up to the top! Of course stop and have lunch at the "dog".

Ugh…

Unfortunately that route is used as a return route creating a loop for many of the trails used at SAS.
It's a county road and and it appears that the county road and bridge department will be handling the repairs . I'm guessing that they have equipment and personnel to handle the project. It's not there first rodeo
In reading the article the bigger issue is not the slide itself but the damaged retaining wall just below the slide. If you look close in the picture you can see the damage
