I assume you're talking about the Telluride Bluegrass Festival? A buddy of mine won the Troubadour contest up there last week. Pretty excited for him.Well @raisinhell2 I got back yesterday from Telluride. No Patchouli Princess with a trust fund. I tried hard. Someone even snapped a photo of me out on the main strip of Telluride working it. That photo is for @CenTXFJ60. I know Jimmy still wants to party with me in my shorts.
Now I do HIGHLY recommend some people take Cottonwood Pass then Keebler Pass to bypass the HWY50 shutdown. They both are seasonal roads. Cottonwood is paved the whole way, so it's not bad at all. Keebler Pass is more like some spots are paved, some are dirt. Still a nice road to even take a trailer over. From Colorado Springs, Google Maps wanted me to up to 70 or catch HWY160 and come up from Durango. 70 was 7h20, 160 was 7h40m. The passes were 6hrs for me.
How do you think it would be in a full size truck pulling a 20 bumper pull trailer?Well @raisinhell2 I got back yesterday from Telluride. No Patchouli Princess with a trust fund. I tried hard. It's doable. They have a 50ft limit on the vehicle length. I saw a couple 30ft box trucks and a Lexus CT200 on it. So that gives you a vehicle capability range. How do you think it would be in a full size truck pulling a 20 bumper pull trailer?
Richard, sell me that truckMy DD is very cost affordable View attachment 3661699
So sorry you missed snagging your Patchouli Princess.. It was prob the diesel smell .. I got you something special for the event..Well @raisinhell2 I got back yesterday from Telluride. Yeah it might be the diesel smell. But driving around on 37s and still getting 25 mpg.... 60>PP
Not going to happen, that’s a rust free west cost nearly perfect truck with only 120k miles. I plan to drive that tell they take my license from meRichard, sell me that truck
I spotted an arguably cleaner one - if that’s even possible, @Broski truck looks damn clean - in Denver recently. It very literally looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor in 2003 or something.Richard, sell me that truck
I owned a 2000 limited TRD and then an 05 4 door limited. Bought both new back in the day when I used to buy new vehicles. Wish I still had the 2000 as the wheelbase was just right on the extended cab version.I spotted an arguably cleaner one - if that’s even possible, @Broski truck looks damn clean - in Denver recently. Ah yes. And cloth interior as well. Double scoreI had 4 full size crew cabs in a row.
Now that the Kids are on there own and I'm retired I don't need that much truck. The Access Cab Is easier to drive and park, fits in the garage and gets better MPG
The first Gen Tundra is a true med size, can still pull a small trailer, has V8 power and a 6'4" guy like me fits comfortably.
I have always been a used car guy. when I retired 5.5 years ago I started looking for a access cab. It had to be a 4X4 with bucket seats & center console I also wanted the 05 or 06 for the 5 speed and a little more power from the VVT motor.
It took over a year to find what I wanted and I was willing to travel for the right one. Then one day it popped up and was only 20 minutes from my house was exactly what I wanted only had 100k (Just broken in ) on it and was way under priced. I jammed right over to look at it, the owners phone was ringing off the hook.
I stole it for 11Kimmediately a friend try to by it off me for his son and offered me 18K and I get asked regularly if I want to sale it.
