Thanks. Based on my Cruise Moab and Rubithon drives, fueling up at the Amarillo Buc-Ees would offer the most perks.

The interstate cruise speed for my BJ70 is 70-71mph (21-22mpg) but she will readily hold 73-76mph (for an 18-19mpg trade). So my hope is that I wouldn't be a major slow burden to anyone.

Plans for the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado? Mapping shows the visitor center being 235 miles from Ouray.
I normally tow around 70 mph but go 600-700 miles between fill ups. We are going to stay the night near the dunes before and after. Head to Ouray on Sunday am and should arive just after lunch.

You should look at doing Blanca Peak/Lake Como Road as a side quest. Its near the dunes.

Looks like others have made it...

Looks fun. We will need to see how much time we have.

@fj40ingkc got the call last year a few days before to step in for someone who had to miss. So even though it sucks y’all can’t make it, someone else hopefully gets a chance. We’ll post lots of pics to rub it in :p .

Here’s a Flashback of our time at SAS 2-9! I have thousands of pictures so here are like 100 in 3mins!

I threw this together last night and even though it’s 3 minutes it took hours and is nowhere near professional, I even think my music got deleted off some how. Oh well
Hope this inspires and gets ya excited!

See ya in 23days!!

I got the trailer pulled out and parked in front of the house, need to waterproof the RTT and I think the mud will be traveling with us unless we get some much needed rain!
BIG Betty is ready!!

It’s a great time.
Not as hard as some apps make it sound.
The fish are hungry up there too. First time fly fishing I caught 5. My buddy and his brother combined probably caught 60+ over 2 hours time.

**UPDATE**
CC1 is only available for 8/2-8/6, they had a glitch in their online system but they will hold it for SAS for now.

Also, RV56 in the back, in the middle of it all looks to be a big spot, is available if anyone wants to move from the front to the back.
KOA is holding it for us at this point.

Let me know so I can update this post.

If you call KOA, please ask to speak to Dustin, he’s helping us keep SASers in the back and general public in the front.
Thanks!

There are still some RV spots up front available that I just had them release to the public…
As of a few minutes ago, these are the RV available:
RV 82
RV 56 *held for SAS
RV 27
RV 29
