Didn’t you cancel your KOA site??

Dennis and I both did. I am afraid to tow the camper because it has been so hot and I don’t want to overheat the engine. We are going to stay in a house across the highway from the KOA.

I literally booked the house the morning that the cabin became available but we couldn’t back out of the house by that point.

Says 550 between Ouray and Silverston will be one lane traffic light controlled beginning later this month, if you don’t want to open fb.

Same as usual. We have maybe had 3 years where this wasn't a thing. Makes for some cool photos waiting for the light or flag man.

Are there any plans for a group caravan that would pass through Amarillo? I have seen that there are caravan plans from the plains. If there are other caravan plans, I missed them.

My route from Georgia will put me on I40 from Memphis to Amarillo, before heading north westerly to Ouray. My plan is to arrive in Ouray on the 2nd. Thanks

I guess this is why you are supposed to check your u-bolts…. I guess I figured out why its been driving a bit squirrely lately 😳😳😳

No caravan per say, but I will be taking I64, I81, I40 from VA west. I am not sure what route the other guys from VA are taking yet. I will be hot shotting non-stop till the Great Sand Dunes in CO. I should be in the Memphis area around 8-9 am on Friday the 31st. I am not sure I am going all the way to Amarillo, I think I will be heading NW before then.

I plan to hit the sand Dunes on Saturday the 1st if you want to join. I plan to take the 4x4 trail around the park.

Thanks. Based on my Cruise Moab and Rubithon drives, fueling up at the Amarillo Buc-Ees would offer the most perks.

The interstate cruise speed for my BJ70 is 70-71mph (21-22mpg) but she will readily hold 73-76mph (for an 18-19mpg trade). So my hope is that I wouldn't be a major slow burden to anyone.

Plans for the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado? Mapping shows the visitor center being 235 miles from Ouray.
