I need to get this fixed before Rubihon in three weeks

Then I will worry about SAS 😉

I tackled one of many small projects on the 45. I had wanted to mount an air compressor permanently to replace the portable unit I have been hauling around.

Installed a new dual compressor under the passenger seat and plumbed the air coupler through the original fuel filler tube in the cab.
Then ran new wiring to the center console to support the compressor and done. Opened up some space in the drawer for other stuff after removing the portable unit.

I am interested in going to the SAS this year. Do I need to register? If so, How do I do that?

Put it back in and turn your locker on. Done.

This looks awesome, Dennis!

You will need to join the waitlist. There should be a link on the first page. The event sold out in minutes and it sounds like the waitlist is pretty deep.

We have 87 very anxious people on this years wait list. Vacancies are filled in the order received but you are welcome to add your name.
Otherwise be watching this thread around the New Year to start getting clues as to when we launch year 11.

The new RCV is on back order 😕
But they are honoring the warranty 😍
The bigger issue has been helping my son with his new house

Laying down new wood floors up stairs and down.

When I get that done then I can pull the diff and see if there damage to the spider gears 😲
The way that axle looks it seems likely but maybe I get lucky 🙏. I have spare axles that I can run until the RCV comes in ;)

Super happy to have my Son and his wife coming back home to Morro Bay, Worth all the pain! Laying down wood floors is not easy work

Those pictures make my knees hurt.

That picture is why I don't work in the trades anymore. I got tired of exchanging my body for money ... kind of like another profession, apparently the world's oldest one.

You can look at it another way. It keeps you in good shape 😉
45 years in the trades, I will be 67 this year and all OEM no knee or hip or other replacements
Still going strong !!
Happy to help out family!!

I don't mind occasionally have a project on my own house - I can take my time and do the job I want. Being out there in the trenches, though, my body was getting beat up. I put in 20+ years and saw that the trade off wasn't worth it for me anymore. Whatever you're doing to keep healthy, keep doing it.

Yes, but stop breaking axle shafts!

Ya I hear you, If you’re getting beat up it’s not worth it.
For me I did remodel work from start to finish hands on one job at a time. With a good client base that let me do the job right.
Way more enjoyable and gratifying and I always had a helper to take the load off.
Retired comfortably at 59 without a bit of regret.
Now I just work on my own stuff and help family out.

In the future I will be more careful about offering to put in wood floors 😂 🤣

FYI- just ordered a 50 watt radio from the Midland website. Just got $100 off for their Memorial Day sale plus an extra $40 off with my OnX perks.

make SAS stickers great again!

SAS #4 is holding up great, all others are peeling from the top!

Glad you brought this up, although ironically I think it’s SAS 4 sticker that I’m starting to loose. Have wondered about a pathway for replacement stickers. Casey…?

I was in the same game, remodeling with a focus on the high end market since that's what I grew up learning. It came to a point where I was trapped between home owners beating me up on price every time (because other folks were more aggressively undercutting on price here in Denver) and subs who wanted more and more money for crappier and crappier work. I ended up doing a lot of work solo, which takes longer and ruffles some feathers with customers about their timeframes. It became long hard days with diminishing returns. I get to do trades work managing a building now, I go to the same place every day, I have a salary with benefits, and the organization is pretty cool (music-related). I'm happy I got out when I did.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, truck stuff ... Shake down camping trip this weekend for Karen's birthday. First one of the year, although I did go wheeling in February. I blew some stuff up on that trip but it all got fixed better than it was before. Gotta find the weak spots somehow! This should be a pretty low-key, non-technical trip but it'll be a good way to make sure all the truck improvements are functioning well and that our gear/loadout is dialed in.
