Plus don't you guys work on Fridays? Geeze I asked for the question suggestions the first time on page 24 just this morning and now we are almost 3 pages later 😜
This is what a self employed free-lancer looks like at work...
Also, welcome to SAS

A home-maker and one who’s phone chimes with MUD actions…

There is a new feature on IH8MUD. Its a Highlight button at the top of the page just under the pole. I'll highlight things that are pertinent to SAS so new "important" posts to the thread are easily found. Feel free to chat away, this and all SAS threads are in the Social Forums section of this awesome forum we call Mud. It always has and will be as long as its allowed.
Its cool to see how many people see it, especially for our sponsors and volunteers that are listed on Page 1 post 2 of this thread.
Please reach out to them if you or someone you know needs anything.
Casey..

I met Bob @devo because I was sitting within hearing range as he was gossiping about me. Fortunately it was all good stuff ... I thought he was being sarcastic!

@mtn biker Whatever you do, don't ask about the initiation rituals and hazing for first timers. I think there's still a few Cruiser guys up in the San Juans who haven't been found yet.

My first year I was super nervous going in as a wife to a cruiserhead
That is a great question and one that I might have to ask on a later podcast ;)

I am still looking…

SAS attendee, first year: brings a replacement part for every component of the vehicle, state of the art GMSR and subscriptions to GAIA and OnX.

Second year: tops off tank in Ridgeway because it’s .25¢ cheaper per gallon, packs enough underwear… probably.
Ask how many people bring a spare transmission and store it in their tent!

The answer may surprise you!!

This last year while packing, I had an alternator sized space in my spares box. Naturally, I filled it with an alternator I picked up used. Ended up needing to replace my alternator in camp.

Looked like a damn hero to my wife that day.

The only one here that should be nervous is @Flatlanderfj40. At least he has 163 days to get that engine back under the hood.
If he had planned it a little better, he could have just brought it along to the KOA to swap... like I'm planning to do.

I have hoisted an engine from a tree before, and it was in Kane Creek outside of Moab back in the 1990s. I'll come over :)

This Is more for the "Newbs" and first timers but I guess every one can contribute. But I just confirmed it with @POTATO LAUNCHER to be on next weeks " Classic Land Cruisers Podcast" on Monday night. But don't get your hopes up on listening to it Monday chances are it will be out on Tuesday evening. What are somethings you want to know to get ready for SAS 10? I know that for me being a first timer as I have already stated in this thread there is a huge mix of emotions. You guys and ladies that have already been know what to kind of expect. But with me I am scared, anxious, nervous, excited, and looking forward to it all in one. My goal for this episode Is to try to get everyone in attendance as close to equal footing as possible. That way we can all just be excited for the second week of August.
Id run away while you still have the chance. To be honest SAS is one of the most causal events I've ever attended.
