very nice!

i don't think the diamond plate looks that bad either and i have had it on all my rigs .but during this rebuild i kept saying to myself .i wouldn't do this time .try something new.like i said a few beers on a nice day and it looked like it was missing something .so the little women talked me into bolting it back on . :crybaby::grinpimp:
Awesome 40 bro. Someday I hope mine looks that nice. I actually didn't think the diamond plate looks that bad.
All in all, sweet rig!

Nice build-up, nice job on the Cruiser !! I bet the kids love getting out in it, too !!

great pics, especially the older ones recognized a few of the locations too. Why not paint the diamondplate the body color if it's bugging you? I think it looks good the way it is always liked that style of aluminum rim too, they're hard to find.

That was a cool write up. Great pics. Looks like the family likes it as much as you. Has your dad driven this one yet.

thanks for the compliments guys .my kids do love the thing, in the summer they climb all over it like a jungle gym. as for my dad driving it he hasn't driven this one yet . after driving my last one from downtown vancouver to richmond with the bump steer and the out of adjustment rear drum's .he won't touch it again :grinpimp:. needless to say all has been fixed or upgraded .maybe one day he will get back in it ,he also lives in Saskatchewan now . so it's a little hard for him to take it out for a spin .:grinpimp: but he still does think these old cruiser are pretty cool

 Jake

Sweet rig and more importantly sweet clan you have there! Can you comment on the seats? What did they come from, how hard to mount up?

Cheers!

I was hoping to see this rig of the week just looking at the pic on your avatar (sp?). Looks great and nice write up. It would look good with the body lift out of there, but looking at it flexing, it doesn't look like all that much extra room if you did. Good looking rig.

thanks!
i used a body lift way back when ,to clear the 38's and the sm465 .before i did the SOA .the tires always rubbed. they still do when i really stuff the front tire.in .In the one picture the passenger tire is stuffed and rubbing need to adjust bump stop's

thanks . if i can remember corrctly the seats are out of a suzuki swift gt. 1995 wasn't to hard to mount up ,used the rails from the original seats . and bolted them onto the zuki seats .

Really like your FJ, great job of posting up. Get the roll bar so the little
ones can have memories too! I remember learning to drive my Dad's
1972 FJ:)

Enjoy the time with your family!
