Goebs.........brief hijack.........the 69 has the holes in place for the shoulder seat belt attachment....as does the 74; what you have to do is drill for the retractable portion low down on the "B" pillar if you want to use original pig retractables like I did........check out posts 40 to 50 on the Shoulder Seat Belts thread..........HTH; hijack over!

New Roof Rack Project

I am going to Duarbak my floors and call an end to the floor project and while I'm waiting for the Durabak to arrive .....I just received one of those Bi-Fold ATV Ramps that are being converted into roof racks. This one was extended and is for an 80. I will extend mine but it will have a full floor. Purchase price for the ramp from Discount Ramps (Ebay) was $84.00. If you have not seen the build , Do a search in the 80 section and type in Moose.

I just took some time to scroll through every page of your write up and I have to say that you have the best looking, most impressive FJ55 I have ever seen. Nicely done. You must be proud.

Thanks SuperT, very proud and very broke. All I wanted was a 4 speed trans and re-wiring the lights and then the sickness hit me. I called my father and told him I bought a 74 Land Cruiser and he said it reminded him of the guy that bought a boat with a hole in it, I didn't understand, and he said the guy kept putting money in the hole and never filled it up!
He's 83 years old, never restored a car and I'll never show him this thread , because the holes not filled yet.

you need to repaint the trailer, it doesnt match the Pig's colour scheme :) hehe looks good though

Maybe I'll repaint the truck;):), The white is great for hiding all the dings and dents and I just wanted it done.

Finished my floors this evening, I used Epoxy concrete floor paint.

Helluva thread!

How many layers do have on the floor now? Is this it? Mats? :)

Its got to be sooo much quieter now.

Seven , 2 Speedliner, 1 Dynamat 1 Ceramic, 2 Spectrum, 1 Epoxy Paint. I have Dynapad and Heatwave from Secondskin and Black rubber mat. I may forgo the pad and heatwave (use it on the roof) and just put down the rubber mat. It should be pretty quiet:)

Moose Rack

Got started on the rack. Drilled and bolted together and used washers to cover the gap. I left the hinges on which left this small gap. These small holes will be welded closed otherwise water will get trapped inside the rack. More to come.
