I just got 2 of the lights from SEO in white. I've only powered them up with a 9v battery to test them but I'm impressed so far. Still trying to determine a use for them but I'm leaning towards center of front and rear bumpers as camp lights so I don't get lost when wandering away from the truck at night. They do seem well made.

Thanks for the kind words.

Do these lights have a stainless steel shell? I'm just wondering about eventual corrosion.

A friend of mine runs the vision x rock lights with rare earth magnets epoxied to them. They're totally removable, yet stay on amazingly well.
I'm planning to do the same on the 40.

This is an outstanding idea.

Already have the vision x lights and was pondering mounting solutions w/o drilling holes.

Two amber on the front bumper corners and two red on the rear corners make a lot of sense. I still want them to be dimmable.

I use these from northern tool! 10 bucks a pair and my ole lady works there and gets a discount of 20%. :) ... I like them they are bright and small and easy to install.. And as for them breaking I haven't had but 1 ever go out. And they are cheap to replace!!!

A magnet didn't stick to the outer part of the Eagle Eye. I'm betting they are aluminum.

Most stainless steel is non-magnetic (austenitic). Magnets don't stick to my fridge.

I have a handful of rare earth magnets, I may try this trick. I pull them out of hard drives before trashing them.

We just had a run on our rock lights. Ordered 4 dozen more in white IIRC.

We have also changed up our sponsorships for MUD and need to post that. Get 10% off now on our Lifetime LED lights. Just ask us.

We have been using the Rigid Industries A-series (same light that is in the Rigid Rock light kits) for under water lights in saltwater... Also as live well lights. No issues as of yet with them.

I would be glad to take care of any MUD member on the Rigid products with some sort of discount.

Those are awesome lights, and I love Rigid lighting, but that price for rock lights is way too much....

Installing these LEDs seems to be a popular and cost effective way of rock lighting your rig. They come in sets of 20 and I bought 3 sets for the hell of it. I'll only use one set for rock lighting and use the rest in other applications. They are pretty damned bright and 20 will light up the night. I'm just waiting on an order of rare earth magnets to get started.

I used some eBay "eagle eyes". Picked up a dozen for $15 or so. Quality is pretty decent. I can't really say much more about them.
