I know. Summer has been nice and long.

My buddy and I installed some castor shims on mine last Sunday and now the thing finally drives straight. I can get on the 22 and cruise at 60 feeling good about it. I've driven it a few times this week. Might just have to take it out again this afternoon.

Here's some more pics of the inside and here and there. Still not done but getting closer. Doors are now mounted as well.

Just got home and am looking at these pics.. Didnt realize when I uploaded them from my cell phone they were that crappy. Need to take some with my "real" camera...

It looks fantastic!

thanks man...

Trying to wrap things up in the next couple - three weeks. Going to be tackling the top next week. Trying to decide on headliner. Should I go spray-in tintable raptor for its sound deadening and longevity, or standard perf headliner?

Thoughts, or other suggestions?

Took my daughter for a quick trip around town, stopped at the grocery store and snapped a pic! Her first ride in this FJ. She really likes the color she says, "it looks safari!"

Some more shots, better quality I hope... Still needs a good polishing of the paint.

Love these floor mats from Cruisercorps.

Installed Restored aircleaner with one of Shanes OEM stickers. Sweet!

Really like the stickers quality. Recommend them to anyone doing a resto.

supplier?

Where are you getting your stainless bolts for your hardware? Do you have a preffered supplier?

Very clean rest. Enjoy reading about it.

I get my hardware from the local ACE store. Here in South Salem we have the largest hardware selection around. If you live near Salem, I highly recommend checking them out. HUGE selection of metric in stainless and zinc. They even carry JIS!

I will be adding the following items to this rig in the near future...

Vintage AIR
WARN Winch
Mini Truck Power Steering
Tuffy Center Console
Rear Hitch
Rear Step

Hard top is under way as well. Should be going into paint in a couple days.
Will also be installing rear hatch and tire carrier. Looking to complete this build by mid month.

Awesome build Crazy!

I'm about to do my tub, and I have a question about the Raptor.

From the looks of it, you painted the entire underside of the tub in BLACK, from the rear up to where the firewall angles up, correct? Then switched to beige?

That looks really good, I'm going to duplicate that.

Also, what gear did you use to spray the Raptor? The kit that comes with the gun? (http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/upol-specialty.aspx)

How much did you use?

Sorry for all the questions, just really impressed.

I used the gun that came with the kit and it performed well. I ended up using three bottles on the underside, but two would be just fine. I over did it a bit. Wanted as much sound deadening as possible. And the raptor product is great!!!

I will posting up some updates soon.
