These will work in locked and unlocked axles. The only differences is the front will be 29 spline not 27 spline so you will need the 29 spline flange and seal that they sell.Probably should have searched before but these are good in factory locked or unlocked axles?

I am not an expert but I believe Toyota went to 29 spline pinions in the 100 series front diff and 100 series rear diffs. The flange could be sourced from Toyota, but I do think the front 8" reverse rotation seal is specific to the aftermarket 29 spline gear sets.So is the flange and seal specific to the Nitro gear sets?
JMHO nitro quality has tanked!
I guess that it gotten to the point that they have to just about give them away.
I do hope you guys have good luck with them.
The last group buy guys we’re waiting months just to get their part.
I have personal experience with there axles and both sucked, quality and service !!The quality of the parts or the quality of the service? I would be slightly surprised if the quality of the parts has changed much. The Just Differential guys have been big Toyota fans for years and have had some cool Toyota builds. But I guess anything could happen. If Nitro is poor quality there aren't many options out there...
Just the install kit is different for E-locked and open axles the gears are the same.It was my understanding that the OEM
E locker gear sets were different then the open gear sets.
I do know that when I regeared Sierra gear had Two different kits.
One for factory locked, and one for open diffs.
It could be just the install part of the kit.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Other’s on the forum have had the same with their gears.
Sierra gears are a good option.
I run them and have really good experience with them.
American gear all they do is gears.I thought the Sierra gears were fussy to setup compared to the nitros that I did.
I’ve done probably 20 gear sets now and all have been fine as far as I know.
That doesn’t change my experience or opinion.American gear all they do is gears.
They prefer the Sierra gears.![]()
Not trying to !!That doesn’t change my experience or opinion.
Do you setup your own gears?
Hey Broski, were the Nitro’s you had an issue with setup by the same people that did your Sierra’s? Not trying to argue just trying to get an apples to apples comparison. No one can really argue that what you’re using now doesn’t work well! Not trying to !!
Just stating mine.
I think you know the answer
I hope you have better luck with Nitro then I did.
