I'm probably not in a hurry. Can I get hardened studs that don't have the hex drive on top? That are about an inch shorter?About six less steps.
Cut them off flush with the nuts? Like U-bolts...Am a little worried on how far out they stick out. Seems like they are just waiting to be rubbed off by a rock.
