Tailgate Install

I think its Bougie. Its short for bourgeois so I dont know if you need to sneak the R in there too.

Got some stuff done and cleared the first hurdle with some specialty tools!

That hood is pretty bougie! Stil gotta tack the cross strut back in. Might see if I can bolt it back in instead. Thoughts?

Managed to only scratch a little. Not in a very noticeable spot.

As soon as I get feeling like a cool kid I get slapped back down.

I guess mixing paint up is something special. I thought that you follow the numbers on the mixing cup and good to go. Guess I got a little loose.

So my doors, hood, tailgate will be doing a different kinda dance from the body. Maybe the sun will help that out. Wishful thinking.

That’s what I’ve heard can happen if you spray different body panels from different paint cans, even if it’s supposed to be the same color.

Yeah I think this is why all the prep and edges but then spray the body as complete as possible and with the loose parts in the same spray batch.


Not very easy in a tight garage though.

I used only one gallon can.

I think my plan is to scuff the whole deal and paint again with the doors on.

I have a little less than a half in the can. I guess it’s good amount to suffer!

At least now I can fix those spots that happened from the last time around. Silver lining? :/

No way I am going to take off that tailgate again!!!! I think it was luck , but I do have some tailgate tricks now for sure!!!
