Stay tuned!
You know it👍🏼

So there’s something new you’re posting every day - is there a laundry list? Or is this under wraps and we tune in tomorrow, to see what the Joker and the Penguin are scheming next?

BTW If I could pull it off I’d be up there to help you with whatever you needed. Not only ‘cause it’s gonna be a great build, but also because Don is ‘grade A+ people’ and I’d like to see him happy with his investment.

Still not sure why you can't fun a 4* shim? Something with the Dshaft length?

Is the front shacke hanger in the factor location? Could you just replace the current Dobinsons springs with OME and call it a day?
Because there are things on this build that have multiple issues, I am taking the path of least resistance to check as many boxes as I can and stay within a budget.

The engine/transmission/transfer case combo is about 8" to 10" longer than OE, to mount this under a stock floor they mounted it at a 9° downward angle towards the rear. This "re-built" front end leaked from every place possible and needed to come apart anyway, the cut and turn is the correct way to correct the caster issue the lift kit creates ( I don't believe a 3° shim is enough ) and it's less labor at this point than cutting out a section of floor and raising the rear of the transfer case 6". If time and money were no object we might do things differently but they are and this is going to be an acceptable fix on this pig.

Makes sense that a shim would make the situation worse.

Also clear now that you’re not saying that it is the brand of springs that lose caster, it’s the fact of the lift.

This is true, and unavoidable given the geometry involved.

make the situation worse
There are a few Mudd vendors involved with parts and labor on the original project and I'm intentionally avoiding/addressing every issue publicly and only glossing over some of the fixes. It's easy to second guess and I'm trying not to fuel the speculation.
I hinted at drivetrain angles/ drive shaft geometry a few times and didn't really want to dig into details but I also don't want to appear like I'm trying to hide anything for nefarious reasons if for some reason this Pig comes up for sale in the future. Don wants it right and that's what we are trying to do.
