Thank you. I see that now. I'm enjoying seeing the progress through this thread. Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks for following along! @Mods maybe we could get a “build” tag added to the thread!

Replacing this rocker with a new Toyota part because it was previously crashed. Just for fun though, check out this high quality bodywork! So awesome. 3/4” thick filler. This body man needs to quit his job at the collision shop and become a sculptor, maybe buy a beret.

OMG! Taking out that mud is going to shave 15 pounds off this truck! That's deeper than the tail gate of my old 55

About 3/8" deep...
Haha! So funny. It’s like at least a full gallon if not more. Proof filler won’t crack if applied too thick :D

Figured I would just cut it off and grind down the old remaining sheet metal and welds since I can’t use my spot weld drill bit. Look at the weld quality. What a mess.

Thank goodness it’s in competent hands now!! Happy it will be fixed properly.

What a joke!

Ok, I ground off all the old weld junk and cleaned off the edges. The front and center of the inner rocker is pushed in from the crash, so I will next be attempting to straighten it for the new rocker to be installed. The lower B pillar, as a result is showing signs of it too being pushed in a bit. The door shuts too tight. Hopefully it will push out without much of a fight.

I love to see it done right, there is no substitute...however, if Brett stoves it in before sliders go on, he'll never hear the end of it. (from me anyway)
Sliders were on before it went to Kelly! There’s hope!

Old rocker here. So, they removed this, and you can see the 3 seams with filler poking through. There are hammer marks all throughout the backside where they attempted to straighten it. I somehow got lucky and cut on the outside of their seams.

I appreciate you thinking that I’m going to get it dirty let alone play on some rocks!!

@JohnnyUtah2 will probably wheel it more than me.

He probably opened a fresh tub of bondo, dumped the whole tube of hardener in and went to work🤣

I wanna wheel her…don’t wanna scratch her!!!

I think I can get her up to Top of the World for a photo session without any issues.

There is one decent ledge section that you'll need to climb that has potential to mar the princess. It'll climb it easy enough.
