Day 123

Took the bumpers to the media blaster to get cleaned up. Then I laid down two thick coats of DP90, almost ready for some U-Pol Rapture.

Days 124 & 125

I got the rest of the parts cleaned up from the media blaster. Next, I laid down two coats of DP90 and then two coats of SEM single stage hot rod flat black. Then I finished the bumpers off by prepping them and then spraying them with two coats of U-Pol Rature, they are finally done!

Day 126a

I applied some Xpel (headlight protection / blue tint) on my fog lights, see picture below (left untreated / right treated). Next I install the lights on the bumper and mounted it to the frame using all factory bolt locations.

Then I installed the running boards, I used some left over fender welting so they would not scratch the paint. Next I bolted on the windshield bumpers and latches.

Thanks for all the support fellow Muders!

@duffontap, I bought 3 kits total and have a ½ a kit left. I most likely will use the all of them because I still have all the stereo components to do still.

SCHWWEEEETTT!!!

Lets hear a video of it running!

Nuts & Bolts

I periodically receive emails asking me for by Nuts & Bolts list, so I decided to attach it to my thread. FYI, I currently completed over half of Project LandRoc and I have no where near used half of the nuts and bolts I ordered. I think I ordered around 25% to much, better to have extras then to run out.

Day 128

Installed the rear bumper using eight 9/16 grade 8 bolts. Everything lined up perfect and is solid as a rock. The last picture shows a 30” tire and wheel combo, it is sure going to look good with a 37”. Thanks again everybody for all the support, it keeps me motivated!
