Day 143

I mounted up the water tank that I got from SOR, a heater valve form toyota and installed a Lokar E-brake cable. Man, these finishing touches add up and never seem to end!

Tell me more about the ebrake cable. Will it work with an OEM setup? I like the way it mounts, nice and clean.

@ thecrazygreek and miker, the cable is from Lokar and is P/N EC-80FU. This cable set up is for an aftermarket rear brake but you most likely would be able to adapt it an OEM setup. I think I ordered the wrong setup because it P/N EC-80FU came with two cables, and I think it was designed for a dual mechanical drum setup. Anyhow, now I have a spare cable. I believe they have additional P/Ns that are cheaper and come with a signal cable. In addition I had to order some additional hardware to properly secure the cut end. I will have additional pictures and information once it has been completely installed. Pease stay tuned in, thanks for the support.

@ gcrump01, thank you for the kind words.

Day 144a

I finally assembled on the cooling tower, air intake, battery tray, steering column, shifter linkage (hi / low and 2 and 4) and head light housing. It came out better than I anticipated!

Day 145

Thanks guys for all the support!
I wasn’t happy with the stock wiring setup on the semi-truck style turn signals. So I disassembled them and rewired them to my liking. Now the fronts and sides only blink as turn signals (amber) and the rears are now running lights and blinkers (red). Then I put everything back together and glued them to the modified factory spacers using some JB weld.

Day 146

Next I installed the column shift transmission linkage and mounted the transmission cover. Then bolted up those semi-truck lights, not bad and they match the rears.

Very nice! What brand/model number of headlights?

@ ElHefe, I bought them off Ebay. They were less than $30 for the pair shipped (Brand is Options, P/N 49947).

Thanks for all the support guys!

@merbestfield, I got wire mesh material from McMaster Carr. They have a huge selection to choose from. I created a wire boarder from some 3/8” solid stock and welded it up.

@merbestfield, I got the fender welting from summit racing. Just do a search for “fender welting”.

Day 148a

I reinstalled the bib, installed some air horns and remounted the seat rack. Next, I put some finishing touched on the flip / license plate assembly (added some LED light bolts). Then I installed some new seat covers for the rear. I also started on the fronts and added some seat wormers to the front seats.
