I hate to be a Debby downer but I think your best bet is to layout your goals and your budget and get feedback that’s appropriate.

That’s why I’m here! I can spend about 25k on the Motor before I start regretting it. Throw your ideas at me please. I want a performance 1fz but not to the point that it has to be rebuilt like a race motor or break leaving me stranded in the desert.

If that’s not enough, go for one of Joey’s turbos.
A full 4.6, P&P, turbo installed by a shop will prob just break into the $10K+ range, but leave you with a stock ECU you don’t need to have any shop repairs done by a specialized shop familiar with stand-alone ECU’s etc.
But that’s me- by what you stated it sounds like that would be enough motor for your use.
But if you have a chub for going stroker of some personal reason, ready, fire, aim. Go for it.
However, realize I typed ready, fire, aim - in that order intentionally.
I’ll be interested on your impressions of a stroker kit in the ‘hindsight 20/20’ POV, if you go that route.
