I also got some new shoes from Dmoz. Thanks Darius! Some vintage alcoas and 35 Toyos .

This is my favorite current build.

How much did you have to widen the hood. Looks to be 5-7 inches

The alcoas look PERFECT!!!

Very cool . Have you decided which direction you will be going with from the B pillar back ?

I still can't decide. I've pretty much decided to do a softtop for the cab....and possibly do bows on tray or truck bed ala aqualu.

Still very on the fence tho. I'm debating about getting a square die for my bender to do square bows for softtop and keep with boxy 55 look. Has anyone used square tubing for bows? Pros/cons other than look? 1" or 1.25"?

Cut in some rear wheelwells and boxed em up. Should clear 37s fairly easy if I end up swapping out 37s off my other 80.

Started figuring out sag under load and angles the bed is going to initially sit unloaded. Shooting for 400-600lbs with no stinkbug on the stock height OME springs. If I run into using drastically more weight (600-1000bs) I can compensate with a spacer or two or just jump to A heavy spring......but I'm shooting to stay sub 4500lbs for daily driver.

Every time I see your updates to this thread I don't understand at all and yet completely understand what you're doing.

This is absolutely awesome. sub'd
I've been thinking about doing something similar, but I have neither the time, nor the equipment for it.

My bad- Basically with all the rear end weight that's come off - I have to figure in how much weight I plan to add with the build, plus things I'd like to add to the rear end weight on the springs. At present with the ome stock height springs (and all the chopped off weight) my rear end is a good 1.5inches higher and fully unsagged which makes for a crappy ride when I zip around the block looking for supercharged 80s to race.;)

400-600lbs after testing gets me 1.75-2" of sag and then I can figure out wheelwells height and bed angles to match the lines of the 55 doors and fenders.

Current overall length- 160.5"....... 6" off front and 21.5" off rear :0

Tray length will be 60" long x 66" wide.

Where do I find these mudflaps?
