Could do a bed out of the balance of the tub, too.

Have to shrink the WB substantially and don't think you can get there without chopping out of the 80 frame.

I never really figured out how to keep glass, but the front doors could use a stretching, too, to move the pillar back to where it would be in relation to the 80 seat.

I was thinking of stretching doors, removing glass, capping door tops, and a soft top upper, or trying to find out if a 7X regulator might work and building around it.

That second pic really looks a lot like a 70 series........you can really see where Toyota designers borrowed from the 55's box-ie lines to come up with 70.

Got an update?

where did you get this picture from, I surfed the website at the bottom of the image and didnt find anything, Im curious where they got the front corner panels, I assume they're aftermarket fibergalss?

No updates- 2 more weeks of insane work and I get to dive back in....

I still need to find a 55 hood for widening and a 40 parts windshield frame to widen.

Definitely going to get a softtop - possibly shorty top........and some sort of tray. ( sold my scrambler and liked the size of its bed.) but with fold own sides possibly.

Im shooting to keep the wheelbase close to stock as possible. And at most I will push the front axle forward 1/4" at the control arms rear mount/redrilled.

Cleaned up the front a bit- remounted cooler for snugger fit toward the radiator. Chopped up an 80 leftover hood to graft in 6.25" piece for the wider hood. On the hunt for a donor grill/cowl to widen the original.
