KOOL !! Looks like you got some good stuff, there are different wool pads also, some more or less aggressive. Not sure what you have there.
I like use 3M stuff more but also Meguiars. If you can your hands on the newer orbital polishers with the foam pads for finishing there amazing. (Final polish )
They do not swirl.. 👍

So Pete @pistonpete , the new heavy compound solution did the trick. The scratches are gone. These pics are after the medium buff. Doing the final buff right now. Hoping to get that done before I go in for dinner :).

Damn Jimmy !! Looks sweet from here !!! Nice reflections .. 👍
I’m really happy with it. There’s a handful of hairs, dust bunnies etc in there. But not taking anymore material off. The color is definitely different. Does not pop like a blue, white, red etc, but I really dig the metallic.

Wet sand and 3 stages of buffing. I am pleased with the outcome. I have the drivers side (less the front fender) and the lift gate/tailgate to do then I can put the new headliner in and work on the rest of the interior.

Jimmy, I just emailed Cruiser Corps about the headliner mix up. Ill let know when I get an answer
No worries Alex. Appreciate your help with this

Thinking about doing a decal as well. Something simple like this one. Can

always remove it if my boys mother does not like the look

I like the decal Jimmy, go for it!
I do too. Sent her the same pic and she nixed it. Guess I’ll go back with the dealer installed pin striping that came on it. Zoom in and you can barely see it on the old paint

TTT…boring updates. Think I figured out the door alignment. Could not get the body length indention to line up. Spent a few hours playing with the hinges then it dawned on me…look at the pics prior to demo. Same situation. Gonna load the fender back on. Took the opportunity to redo the seam sealer on the cowl. Part of me knows I should pull the passenger fender as well. We will see.

Hey Jimmy that problem seems vaguely familiar. Haha. If you need a guy to remove front fenders I’ve got a s*** ton of experience with that now. I know the body lines were my PITA. I really found leaving door seal off the best way to get everything to eventually line up proper like.
Looks deadly btw!!

Thank you Chris. Yep, always hate taking a freshly painted fender off. There is definitely something off with this door. Aligning it the way it is now provides consistent gaps around the window frame. Here’s a pic of the door before I removed it earlier this year. If it still bothers me when the truck is done I can always paint another door.

More steps to document. Talked to French @BamaHeel last night and he had me thinking as we discussed adjusting door hinges. And Chris @RuckitUp and I talked earlier this month about the same thing. Sitting here admiring the new window felts integrated onto the original stainless bases (and drinking a Modelo) it dawned on me I can adjust the rear door to meet the progress on the front one. Wha-La…very happy with the outcome.

So I honestly have a bit of ADD. Finished the window felts/chrome trim so while I wait for my new headliner to get in I started on the window tint. Really should pay someone but I’m hell bent on figuring this out. Did ok on my truck back in July, but can honestly say these pieces are closer to a 9-10 on the outcomes. On this one I’m having to use the steamer to remove the old purple tint. Taking my time on the rear glass as I am trying to keep the defrost lines intact. I will pay someone to do the windshield. And I’m doing the clear ceramic tint
