chevy 4.3 w/ 4l60e vintage air power steering

Just bought a 1974 FJ45 running an F, with somewhere between 300xxxkm and 400xxxkm, and am trying to find a proper bulbar for one of these things, as they're nigh on impossible to get in Australia.

I heard that a 60 has the same rail width as the 40, is this true? if so, would a 60 bulbar fit on a 40?

Many Thanks,
Spencer

1970 rhd from Australia. Pretty much stock Ute.

HJ47 I found in Latin America and imported to the USA. No, not a Costa Rican truck! From what I have seen CR didn't get 47's.

It is an 05/1984 HJ47 as per ToyDIY.com. It is a rare color, 683 (olive), unfortunately painted blue by the guys I bought it off of. Numbers matching 2H with 145,000 on it. I am supposedly the third owner but we all know how stories of lives past for a truck goes so I won't bother telling the story I got on this truck. I have spent a fair amount of time with the truck and driven it a fair amount in both Latin America and now here in the USA since I acquired it. It certainly is a lot of fun to drive! It runs really good too. ;)

I am selling it, so if you are interested in a LHD HJ47 send me a pm.

Cheers

Tires or Tyres

16" split rims were 7.50R16 in most parts of the world. Don't know if you can still get the size in the US, expensive in the UK and not much choice but your truck deserves them. Very nice.

Rovers North has 7.50x16 Michelin XZL's. Sit down before you look at the price.

Cheers

hey there. this is my first time on a forum so I'm not sure how this works but I was looking threw your photos and I happen to have a 1962 FJ45 that was my great great uncles and I am in the middle of cleaning it up. I am having a hard time finding a roof to the cab is mine is in a little bit rougher shape then we think we can fix right now. the rest in in great shape. everything runs pretty good. idk if anyone here can help or not but any information on the truck would help a lot or were I can get parts?? right now I am in the search for some weather stipping for the front windshield and the back split window. and of course the top to the cab. I'm not sure how to get any photos on here but when I can I will show what I have. THANKS in advance for any help given it is all appreciated.

Welcome.
You can post in the classifieds in this section (FJ45 Owners Club). Top might be a tough one, but try anyways. Windshield weatherstripping and parts you can get from a bunch of Cruiser venders here on Mud ( Cruiser Outfitters, Marks Off Road, Spector Off Road..... tons of others as well) or your local glass shop for windshield w/s.
Sounds like you have a SWB FJ45 Fixed Top. Split window rubber will be very hard, some talk of reproduction ones but nothing has happened yet. You can post info and photos of your truck in the Fixed top swb list on the FJ45 forum. Or start your own thread about your truck.

If you're in MT, you HAVE to connect with @3_puppies . He's same state, a cool cruiserhead, and a fellow 45 owner that is fairly resourceful.;)

Hello everyone, this is my 76 fj 45 I bought in 2013 as a barn find ( been parked up for at least 10 years). After getting her going again I put 500 miles on the clock before starting my 3 and a half year journey doing a frame off, nut and bolt restoration. I wanted to get her back to her former glory! Now 99% complete ( apart from the nice finishing touches stuff) I’m absolutely loving it!!
I’ve done about 1500 miles on her since she got back on the road. I’m in the UK , a very lonely place for fj land cruisers😢

Let me be the first to say...wow!

Incredible work @Jepo

Been to a few classic car shows when i used to live over there, never did I see an FJ45. Quite the rare machine in your neck of the woods. Must have been a royal pain in the arse to acquire all those new parts
Good on ya though

Thanks a lot for your comments , I repaired all the original body panels and my local Toyota dealer were great for getting all the running gear stuff (seals, hoses, rubbers etc) all I did to the 2f was blast and paint, the clock reads 50.000 miles and I’m sure it’s original it runs so strong and smooth!
Here’s a couple of pics that might bring back a few memories from the old country.
Thanks again.
