That’s what I’m trying to figure out, for now I’m staying non power brakes, was thinking the 1976 FJ55 master cylinder.

Painted and installed the new brackets.

Afternoon guys still trying to figure out what master cylinder to use. I have just installed one side of my front disc brake swap. So far not to bad, had to have the outer lip of the hubs turned down to fit the rotors. Did some grinding on the caliper for clearance.

The little deal next to the master? That is a proportioning valve. I am curious how well that will stop without a booster.

I started thinking about it a will most likely source a brake booster as well.

You definitely want the proportioning valve. You need it when converting either axle from drums to discs. Discs on all 4 will need it too.

You can stop ok without a booster, it's just going to take a lot of leg force. I would recommend a booster if you're upgrading anyway.

Thinking a all disc master cylinder with the booster. My big problem is the oil canister on the ‘68 is mounted where the unit would go.
