Was loading up a grill this morning....I never take my phone out of its case unless I am plugging it in to listen in the LC....so I put the phone in the front ouch in my hoodie.....it fell flat on its face and cracked like crazy. 3 month old iPhone 6. Taking it to the phone place today. Amazing that Apple can make a phone that will do everything except not shatter after a 2 foot drop.

Have a case? A requirement for me and my lifestyle. I picked up a slim otterbox and screen protector and have been surprised what its survived. Chest pocket is my culprit..... seems so safe, untill you tie your shoes

Just talking about this the other day - i have a good case on my iphone 6 - made a flat drop the other day abour 3' - screen cracked diagonally almost all the way across..... bummer for you... stupid phones

Yes I briefly took it out of the case and then dropped it. Blah.

I called an authorized service center and they said they might be able to get Apple to cover it since it is still under warranty. We'll see but not holding my breath.

while not an I phone fan Andrea has dropped hers close to 30 times once off a 10 foot wall and it never cracked. Bad luck can strike us all though. She still refuses to use a case. But will most likely be upgrading to an Android in the next few weeks.

I use Pelican cases on my phones and have had good luck less bulky then otterbox and provides good protection

This model i have is just a back and sides clamshell case and was 20 bucks. I couldnt stand the full enclosure style regardless of otterbox or lifeproof etc. Plus could never hear the other end of convo well

Same one I have. I have a full enclosure one for hunting but hate it otherwise

Same type of case here too. Of course I drop it in the 3 minutes it wasn't in the case.

Saw this on 24/27 in Locust, NC last weekend. Controlled training burn. They had 4 houses in a row mark for burning. I could feel the heat inside the car as we slowly passed by.

Vaguely. Search "CLT monthly" or "Charlotte monthly" if you're bored. None of the threads are very long. I kind of think maybe @elkaholic said that. Or @roadstr6

It's easy to replace the screen on the iPhone 5/6. Haven't done a 7 yet. You just need a couple of SST's from these guys and the screen replacement is usually around $60-70 on the older phones. The newer the phone the more expensive it is for replacement parts.

EDIT: well its not in 10 pages or last 8 yrs of post containing Charlotte. there are none with CLT. Dave might be right below; may not have been a charlotte deal
