I put the OEM Toyota clutch in my FZJ75 a few months aga when I had to send the transmission to Georg for repair. No complaints. I did it as a PM given the pain to remove the transmission so since it was out.... Make your decision and acquire your parts but I wouldn't install a new clutch until I needed one unless I had other reason to go into that area.

Looking at the Aisin kit from @cruiseroutfit but seems they're out of stock. Also looking at the terrain tamer heavy duty clutch kit, do I even need a heavy duty clutch?
Hey Paul. You might check the cross reference at ToyoDIY to see if any US trucks used the same clutch. Re heavy duty or not, the heavy duty often have stiffer springs so become more tiring to drive. You need them when you are turbocharging and need to increase the power through the clutch. I personally would not bother. Clutches are consumable. But I would change out everything when you are in there. Slave cylinder, throw-out bearing, throw-out fork, and any rubber items. The expense is in the labor, not the parts.

This is the list of parts I got for the Holy Truck. It is an 80--I'm just illustrating.

That is in AED, not USD, BTW.

Thanks John. Right now not seeing any US vehicles that use the clutch. Here's my part list on partsouq: ~700 bucks with shipping from UAE to US.

I got my OEM clutch kit from Cruiser Outfitters. It came complete with the input bearing and fork, IIRC. You will probably want to change the flywheel while you are in there.

What transmission do you have? I assumed it would be the same as mine, H150F, but I'm showing different part numbers for the clutch.

I have an H150F as well. The original part is NLA, this clutch is a replacement per partsouq. Technically it's for a 2007+ 70 series.

Do you have a part number for the flywheel?

Go for the OEM clutch ,it will last a long time .
The Aisin clutch kit is the same as the OEM one right? Just not branded "Toyota" I believe.

I had to order it from PartSouq. Shipping was not cheap due to weight.

Truck was a huge hit at Cars and Coffee today.

Also good news, don't believe I have a head gasket or oil cooler leak. Just wasn't putting the engine through its paces thoroughly. Running at 70mph for 20 minutes and all the white gunk on my oil cap is gone.

i figured it was just condensation not being burned off, good that you have confirmation.
Agree, thanks for being a voice of reason when I first found this! This was the first time I'd taken it on the highway for any duration really, so great to see this.

Now I can turn my attention to other things in the truck and stop trying to price out a 1HDFT swap!

Filling up the tank is a pain. Constantly cutting off, not going down the filler neck into the main tank. Tank is saying it's only 1/2 to 2/3 full. Seems like my charcoal canister is clogged and it's not venting properly, but checking partsouq it doesn't seem I have a charcoal canister? Lots of hissing when I open the tank as well. Any suggestions?

This is what I’m using off of Amazon. It does the trick.
