I did that once on a fJ62 I had for a Music Video.

It’s nice to put things back together with pretty clean parts. While I was waiting on the parts at powder I scrubbed the frame and gave it a good coat of fluid film.

I’m thinking of stopping by the store to grab some fluid film today. Although half of my frame got “gear oil filmed” when I had an input seal go out on the H55f. Fluid film has to smell better than gear oil.

The new clutch feels good. Blue had the duty yesterday with flawless delivery.

The AFI is a great system and, at the time I installed it, the best option. The sniper is just a better setup.

That said, having the proper and now higher compression head has got the be where the largest gains are coming from.

I really like the throttle response so much better on the Sniper. I never could get used to how slow the RPMs fell between the shift points with the AFI.

What did the Head set up run you? Would you think that set up offers better performance than the MAF Headers i did? Kinda curious....

Love your rig and all that you’ve done to/in it. You have me wanting a 60 sooooo bad. Any tips on convincing my wife to add one to the group?
I might be pushing my luck since she surprised me with the “Iron Yak” just last Christmas.

I have my own wife. Figuring her out and keeping her happy takes up all my wife time. You will have to figure yours out on your own.

Head is 1100-1200. You will need a head gasket and any other stuff you want to take off.
If the lower end of the motor is fresh it’s a good move.

That’s what I did when I went from AFI to Sniper.

16 degrees and she’s been sitting for 2 weeks and the Sniper fired up immediately this morning.

The snow is mainly ice. We go down to 9 degrees tonight so hopefully we keep power.
