There was a time in the early 2000s when my mom owned this exact FJ60 and a 2003 Porsche 911. She was always befuddled that the 60 always got comments at the gas station and not the 911.

My 62 back when shinier and newer would get vanity parking up front with the 911s and MBenz whenever we valet parked.

Until a couple years ago I had a very heavily modified FD RX7 (sold it) and the 60, I could have both of these parked together and people would walk right by the RX7 to look at the bone stock Land Cruiser.
