I don't know, but certainly not more than 10k if it truly is rust free. I would offer 8k.

It was recently repainted, so I'd be really concerned that someone covered up problems with bondo.

Great minds think alike! I am always suspicious of a new paint job, especially on these old rust-prone trucks. That was the main reason I bought the Turdle when I did...original paint. It is what it is with nothing to hide.

I texted the guy with the 62 on Monday back when his ad didn't include a price and only stated that he wanted to trade for an F250. I offered him $8K. He respectfully declined my offer and said he was thinking more like $14K. GLWS was my response.

yeah, they sure polished that turd..it wont even pass inspection. no wipers/ mirrors probably not even a horn..but it is as shiny as a steaming pile.....

You really can not blame the seller. People are coming out of the wood work to sell their old family relics, errrrrrrrrr classics. Scores of 60/62s for sale north of $10K.

I think that the 40 was down to about $11K last time I saw it on CL about 3 months back or so.

Which is funny cause i think the salesman told david his son did all the work ..... some things are best left unsaid :)

So a big v8 and no spedometer?!? At least the shoulder belts are installed incorrectly to match. And those gas/brake pedals and summit sticker...... sad that somewhere a newly intrigued wanna be 40 owner is lusting over this one.

The front axle is what really perplexed me when it first appeared on CL. How does one come to a position where they think that this is a good idea? Heather is very big on the "A vehicle is only a sum of it's parts" position on cars and trucks.

I guess that position in this case adds up to a pile of crap.

Doubt it would be street legal, no wipers and no outside mirrors, (Jason), plus I didn't see a horn and the serial number looks wonky.

That's a super cool toy. Who's gonna burst his bubble on the age?

I mean unless the toy company had a crystal ball, the design is based on a 79 or later. Square bezel and the 73 onward logo. Made in the 60's ? No. likely early 80s

In search of the drivers side seat adjustment knob for the seat back.

Also in search of 80 series jack, rods, and handle. New truck didnt come with one.

Preferably cheap for both ;) It would be required to fit in with the rest of the truck ;)
