Can anyone tell if I have a lift on this pig?? It sounds like a stupid question but the pig has 31"s on it and the clearance seems very high. There are no other pigs around to compare for ground clearance. Can someone measure from the ground to the bottom on theirs so I can tell? I want to buy 33's for it and was planning on getting a lift kit. It'll save huge $$$$ if it's already lifted. Seems like it is possibly 2"

Yeah I think it will look better without the running boards too...
I just went out and looked at my pig... bone stock '76 sitting on 31x10.5 BFG MT (although not on flat ground and one rear tire is a 29" armstrong norseman right now...). I have 2" between the front snubbers and the axle, and about 3" between the rear snubbers and axle. I say put some 33 inchers on there first and then decide if you want the lift. 33x10.5 tires would probably work just fine on my pig the way it sits now. It kind of looks like your piggy is sitting a bit higher than mine, but hard to tell from a photo.

ditched the running boards and had a new exhaust put on. Looks much better.

Exhaust tip was free. looks better from the rear and you can't really notice it's there unless you are at the angle I took that shot from. Had to bling the pig up 5%.

Roo bar still there. People keep telling me to take it off but I might just paint it up next weekend and keep it. It'll be useful when a Camry cuts me off.

Protect the pig. That means keep the front (until you find something else you like more) AND GET RID OF THE STOCK REAR BUMPER! Those corners will EAT your quarters on the trail or off.

That exhaust tip will protect it!

(sorry)

I have a similar one on mine...

What's a good place to get a different bumper??

Does the IPOR rear bumper sit farther away from the body panels or is it just more rigid? Somebody mentioned problems with the stock bumper...is that due to denting the bumper and having it curve into the panels or is the bumper so close that it traps mud and water and causes rust?

Howdy! Stockers bend real easy if you wheel it at all. Kiss a rock or a tree with it, and TA DA, you now have crimped rear quarters. Save it, as someone will want it for a kosher resto project. It's worth a $ or $$ to the right rig. I hope to build mine from 4x4 square tube or channel, and put the hitch reciever right in the middle, where the 4 support bolts are. Probably have mine sliders on it to save what's left of my rear. John

The pig will be a garage whore and perhaps some class 6 roads but nuthin big. I'm selling a troopy and I'm hoping someone trades me a somewhat beat 40 plus cash so I can have a beater/ winter rig for the salt and snow. A sacrificial lamb I guess.

The pig is basically perfect on the outside and I think a scratch would give me a heart attack....or at least intestinal discomfort. I have a friend that is a professional welder and he works for cheap so I might have him fab a cool bumper that isn't too obnoxious.

Blasphemy I tell you.

Luke111- Great bumpers but why get the IPOR spare tire holder when the spare is underneath already?

The truck is basically stock except for the paint job. I do like stock trucks but it's not like pigs are worth huge money when kept stock. I'm torn between switching the bumper off the back or keeping it and getting a stock bumper for the front.

Also, it's over 2 hours to the nearest legal place to go wheeling so wheeling is a rare occasion. Sliders might be overkill.

Blasphemy is Toyota building such a rinky-dinky bumper on what is overall a great truck.

Personally I would build my own bumpers, however IPOR does build some cool stuff. Plus, Lance is a hardcore 55 guy!

I agree they are flimsy. But I don't plan on bashing mine into anything.
