Projector Bracket is almost ready for prime time .... hoping to have a completed bracket
to test first of next week.
Look what I found in China... $170 per side and free shipping... yes the ad said free shipping which they attempted to not honor but after a few emails they said they would ship them
I have no idea of the quality but I'm about to find out. They offered both the green version and chrome I pick the green these look pretty green but not sure if it's just the lighting.

Looked what pulled into service today ...2003 with 88k.... garaged and super clean.. no kids
I asked the service writer about it and he said he had first shot when the owner decides to sell it. The check engine light is not on... I switched on the ignition just to check the mileage

Do you have a link and specs?

So much for 3 weeks ...placed the order March 5th and they arrived from China today.
Free shipping
They are identical to the one that I've got even the stampings on the back. The only thing that I noticed different is the connector for the low beam and the inside shroud is slightly greener than my factory lights but you can get chrome ...I'm very impressed with this light for $170 per side shipped to my door. I won't be able to inspect the projector until I open these but I'll install one side and use the standard halogen bulb for those looking for a replacement light. My plan is to swap in HID projectors

I have zero affiliation with Summit Racing but in the TJM bumper thread somebody mentioned that TJM products were 50% or more off retail at Summit racing so I decided to check and picked up this large recovery gear kit for $128.50 shipped to my door .. retail price was $339.00 ...thought I'd share it on MUD in case anybody is in need of one

Got one of these and the last 9000 lb stealth winch a couple of weeks ago really like both.

Yeah, i was tempted to get the winch but then I'd have to buy a bumper :) I keep telling myself this is just a daily driver.

Thanks Lou! I just ordered one. That's a killer deal. I wished they had a front air locker for my 100 but they're all gone. I called in and the guy said they have a rear TJM locker for a 1998 - 2007 100 series, they're like $498

The previous owner kept the LX immaculately clean and I thought she did the same with service but going through the service history in detail I realized that she never replaced the timing belt and water pump
So off to service the truck went...timing belt water pump new plugs (still had factory plugs) DBA slotted front rotors and new front pads which it turns out I didn't need.. Brake squeak was extremely loud at slow speed's so I ordered new DBA rotors which I run on my 80 series and love them and told my guys to install them...as we pulled it out of service the brake squeak was still there ???
It's was the rear brakes !!!! Stupid me but I'm happy to run the DBA's and the service
department loves the hours. The rear brakes were turned and new pads installed.

I work at Lindsay Lexus and live in the Mosaic District

Just saw this, never realized you had a 470!

I used to read your Pig thread. Where did that Pig go? Anyone on MUD get her?

Last I heard it was in AZ and I'm not sure who bought it. After the Pig i built the 80 and bought the 470 in Jan of this years

Let me know how these look. I need some new headlights mine have small cracks.....

If your looking for cheap replacement lights these will do but the internal projector looked like a toy. The housing are pretty close to stock but I found the adjusters and internals loose and cheap..

If you haven't seen the thread I designed a bracket for the 470 to install Morimoto projectors and I'm also retrofitting new OEM headlights for those looking for OEM quality and modern HID performance.

LX470 HID RETROFIT PROJECTOR BRACKET

I’m running a Quad setup but have a switch so I can run two lights instead of four. I also retrofitted a Matchbox projector in the OEM fog light... and the plan is they’ll replace my daytime running lights which I gave up to run the Quad setup

This is a low beam shot the last is the high beam output

As my daily driver I’m keeping the modification to a minimum for now. Most of you are familiar with my LX470 headlight bracket allowing you to mount an HID projector in the low beam location. I’m running a quad set up on my truck so 4 projectors and with this setup I no longer have DRL (daytime running lights)
I also retrofitted my fog lights with the Matchbox projector and my intention was to have a switch to run these as my DRL and another switch to turn off the two projectors in the OEM hign beam location.. the Quad setup is really bright and unnecessary around town.
Searching Amazon for switches I found Apollointech Left Side A-Piller 4-Switch Pod & Source Control system custom fit for the Jeep Wrangler for $139.00.
Removed my A-Pillar cut a hole and mounted the switch. I do know a portion of the side curtain airbag is in the A-Pillar which comes out between the A-Piller and the rubber molding did raise some concern but I didn’t have to touch the airbag to mount the switch plate so I should be good.
The control system with the relays is very a stout metal plate with a metal powder coated cover which I have yet to mount but for the price I couldn’t pass it up. I’ll post more once it’s all hooked up.
