Nice build. Do you have detailed photos of the steering brace drop? I'm still wondering why this needs to be done as mine is still stock. Does it just make things easier? At some point I will cut it out and weld back on in order to remove and refresh the oil pan.

It's pretty simple, first you cut about 7/16 on the upper part of the brace, make sure it is in line with the frame . then after it's free, you cut 3/8" more, then go to the lower section, and heat it until it bends easily, you bend it until the top part of the tube is even with the lower, part . the is should give you clearance of the oil pan, weld in the 2 pieces made for this and there you go

Are you able to drop the pan without lifting the engine with the brace lowered?

I set a time line, it actually took longer than I thought, since I have worked on 4 others it helps if you know all the quirks, when we did this we took lots of pictures for a better instructions, for the next guy who buy's a kit
When / where will you post these pictures and instructions on how to do this Diesel Adapters conversion?

Ok so I am so dam close, hopefully sunday, it will be started, then monday I can take it to the muffler shop and have the exhaust fabbed, I just need to finnish the heater lines, install battery add coolant, fuel, bleed the brakes

Clean work at high speed! What could be better? The community needs a guy like you doing swaps for us. ;)

Thank you, I wish I could, have got it done faster, I have to drive 1 hour just to get to the shop, and the real time I have into it is really is

Man, you make the rest of us look lazy. Amazing quick work.

Impressive work, amazing speed. Cheers

what intake box is that?? looks like it would well for my ls swap too!!!

The air box is a diesel Adapters, I just had to add color, Toyota Red, the intake elbow is also a Diesel Adapters, most of the items are manufactured in house, by Dustin

wonder if hell sell just the intake housing, it clean and I dislike the big old factory box :p

Very cool.

Great project! When do you think you will have it fired up? I had looked into a 6bt swap when I was first planning my build, but Dustin has a spotty reputation here, how has your experience been and do you know if he has full kits in stock?

Yes he sell's them.

So I went monday, to fire up my beast, and ran into a issue, with the rotary pump, I bought the engine used, and had the head worked put some new seals and a head gasket , so I went through, it pretty well, found out the PO had turned the fuel screw so hard that, it snapped off, I am luck because there is a mill, and we machined it out, put another one in and a governor spring (366) tried it a again and no go, it was over fueling and smoking bad, took the injectors out checked the compression 400+ on all cylinder's to be sure it wasn't a crap motor, so I took the injectors to a friends shop and tested them this morning and they are good. So called the wrecking yard and they have another pump for me, so tomorrow, I will get the other pump and it should be running, tomorrow

,I got it fired up tonight, I had a bad rotary pump, and I had to go to the wrecking yard and pull it myself( I did not want to wait until monda), and yes he has had a few. I have been fine with my experience, as far as a full kit, I am not sure what he has on hand, I do know he is trying a new stand alone for the transmission, he had issues with the compushift, so he/we are trying it on my rig

Congrats! How about some final pics?
