Well had some old fuel VE pump issues, and now, since Dustin is trying a new stand alone, we/he is setting it up, we worked on it today, and drove for about 1/4 mile and need to figure out the stand alone, but it runs really really good, a very healthy 6bt

Diesel Fuel Injection Service in Portland has done a great job for me so far and they are reasonable with their prices. Your 80 is coming along nicely and quickly. Here is their website, dfispdx.com

What is the new trans controller he is trying? I'm really glad he's finally cleaning up his kit. If it was started there I think there would be more 6bt cruisers running around.

Good work on the install looks great.

I will let you know later on, it's something he is working on, and want to be hush hush ;), and no more Compushift

Well I have got it running great, just getting the stand alone, to work properly

Today, took it to the exhaust shop( I missed the appointment last week, the old guy brought in something because I was late), I hope it will be done tomorrow, I am having a shifting issue, with the new stand alone, and have not yet figured it out, once I have full exhaust, I can really drive it, and know what's going on, if anything really is

Video please!

It's pretty simple, first you cut about 7/16 on the upper part of the brace, make sure it is in line with the frame . then after it's free, you cut 3/8" more, then go to the lower section, and heat it until it bends easily, you bend it until the top part of the tube is even with the lower, part . the is should give you clearance of the oil pan, weld in the 2 pieces made for this and there you go

Here is a close up of the steering brace fabrication. Hope this helps.

Cool story. So you welded a section of intercooler tubing into the front crossmember? That's a pretty nifty idea, I thought about just putting a hole through my frame rail, but that's a little more clever. What about the PS cooler, or was it ditched for your swap?

:edit: is Diesel adapters still in business? Couldn't find them on google. Thought I would check out just the intercooler.

:edit: :edit: Well, just saw the heaps and heaps of buyer beware threads. Nevermind!
