Once you remove the controller you will still need to remove this stiffener from the front bumper cover support structure.

Thanks for the images. Yeah I figured that stiffener would need to go. The grill itself is pretty sturdy with the top bracket and sides screwed into the fender.
I’m still up in the air about mounting the control pack to the bumper. My 2 gauge just showed up today. We’ll see. I may just extend the remote socket to the front just above the fairlead or on top by one of the access holes.

I know its hard to see or understand by the picture, but there is a stiffener that runs over the top of the drum. Two bolts attach it to the bumper cover support and two rivets/spot welds to the vertical support of the core support. Drill out those out with a 1/4" drill bit.

Did you just loosen the brackets on the power steering line that goes across the ac condenser to rotate the power steering line? Or did you go with the 4R power steering line relocation kit?
I re-contoured the lines and re-positioned clamps as needed.

Got the winch in stalled through today. Had to move the rig half way in the garage because the dumb NW weather can’t make up its mind.

Thanks @Washingtontaco for the tip about drilling out the welds on that center brace. Worked like a charm.

No worries about the ac line On the passenger side. The winch clears it easily. I did just loosen up the power steering hard line. Released it from its brackets and pinched the hose clamps to allow the hoses to turn freely to stop them from kinking. I rotated the hard line to face downwards and re installed one bracket right in the center. I used the other bracket on the driver side as the hard line was touching the core of the bumper that holds the winch. Will be grabbing some rubber tubing that I can line the hard steering line with as a “just in case”.

Still buttoning it with putting the bumper back on. Here’s my set up for when I have to do it by myself lol. Stacked two 2x6s and a small folding table with the legs as short as possible sit the bumper right in line with the bumper core. I just have to wiggle a side to get a bolt in and so one. I use a jack to level out the bumper. Tomorrow I’ll tighten it all down and will drill in the last two bolts in the bumper to lock it in.

I cased the hard lines with fuel hose to keep the abrasion at bay too.

Got to installing my Ironman recovery points. I picked these because they’re rated and bolt right on. I’ve seen others that are basically only two bolts on the side but was uncertain if they would need a spacer to line up with the Iron man bumper or not so I just played it safe and got these. It’s a direct replacement for a bracket that came with the Ironman bumper so I knew it would fit. I’ll lists off the steps I took. Heads up I still need to put one last bolt in but am waiting till I pull off the full bumper in order to undo the lower radiator bolts. This process I took today left the bumper on.

I first removed the existing outer brackets. Didn’t remove the full bumper at all. Also here’s a side by side comparison with the bracket it’s replacing.

In the last picture above you can see on the left side where the arm comes out, the bracket for the AT cooler lines into the radiator need to move in order to make place for the recovery point. I just unbolted it and it ended up lining back up with the original spot but I used a longer bolt. I’m sure you could just grind down the bracket as well but I wasn’t in the mood to break out the grinder. The kids were napping in the house lol. Also there’s a crush spacer or something that goes in that existing hole under the radiator.

the only bolt I couldn’t get back in on both sides was the bolt that goes it and has a square but which butts right up against the radiator. For some reason that square nit may have shifted. But I’ll be pull off the compete bumper soon so I can undo the lower radiator bolts to make room to get to them or I’ll just flip the bolt and come inside out. I have to pull the bumper off any how because warn is sending me a new synthetic rope for my winch.

I love these but like most of their products it looks like a PITA install lol.

It would of been a cake walk if I had done it when I installed the bumper or when I took off the bumper to install my winch. I’m becoming pro at taking the bumper off 😆

Definitely look beefy! Wouldn't worry about a pull at an angle and having them bend.
I like the red also!

So I did something fun over the last few days. I’ve always like to do things a little different even if I have to put a little more effort into it.
Here is the end result. I’ll add steps in below.

Long story short I had my eyes on the arb-4421010 for some time now but was unsure if they would work. I bite the bullet and accelerated my purchase because the item was going to be pulled from the retailers website due to being for a prado150 and not for a gx460 specifically and would need modification. I had it in my cart online and it was still there even after being pulled so I processed my order.

the instructions call for a little trimming and shortening of the tube end. I knew I had to do that anyways because I have a Ironman bumper and not ARB so that’s expected.

the there’s a U bolt that goes just in front of the body mount. The passenger side is free and clear of any hard lines but the drive side has some you have to move just a little to fit the bolt behind.
