Steve has a noise in Transmission/transfer case i and the Knorr brothers can't isolate. We jacked up rear end of truck and put into gear, it made a clanking noise, tried it in reverse, same. I could feel it on shifter when it was happening. Removed drive shaft and it stopped. Noise seems to come from transfer case area. I took it for a drive, at speed there is no noise, only starting out in gear or when it is in reverse.
Have a date to take to Georg to check it out
