Or find an old pig, and just use for wheeling
Too bad you don't know anyone who buys up old pigs.

Saw these pictures on IG of Steve the pig.

Oooh 🤔🧐😳😲 maffamatishin 😘🤣🤣🤣
Always loved figuring out crawl ratios.
Bone stock 4spd trans FJ40/55 (later 70’s) low range ratio is 28:1/29:1, which was always too fast, and requires a lot of clutch work. The only thing good about it is the pairing with the 2F, and having that nice idle - 1000rpm torque that can move you over stuff while riding the brake pedal and not touching the clutch. It’s definitely an acquired taste.
Running a much lower geared drivetrain into the area of 60:1/70:1 is a whole different ballgame.

H55 has a first gear ratio of 4.84:1
Split case low range ratio is 2.27:1
If your diff ratios are 4.10, then your overall low range is 45:1, which is alright, better than original anyways, but not really what you’d consider ‘rock crawling’ gearing.
Ok, i feel a little better. Thanks
