Hello Folks ..

How many MUD members can offer real trail feedback of those Marlin t-case reduction .. how it's been working for you ..

all comments are appreciated ..

David

I would be surprised if you were disappointed. I think their reduction is slightly more than going from 4.10's to 5.29's, for half the price, (I do have both though). They really shine on steep descents, and make rocks and climbing that much more effortless. Just dive in man.

Oh, just rub it in why dont you.

Me and buddy been thinking about picking up the gears. I wondering since Marlin has them back in stock if they are gonna put them on sale again, ala 20% off. Or maybe see if we can do a group buy.

they have those in stock back again .. reg price tho 799 ..

Group buy .. ? I'm in ..

5.29'S in the diffs and the low gear set has been the best off roading modification that I have ever made. Made the Dusy quite easy to navigate.

Was this before or after you broke your rear suspension and upper control arms?

Hey...it was just the upper control arms. Rear suspension was fine.

;p

EDIT: Hey wait a second...the more I think of it I did not have the low gear set for Dusy last year. Just the 5.29's. So I will blame my lack of the gear set at that time for the busted upper control arms.

And it was easy to navigate (just go straight!!). It was not easy to wheel!

I'm in for a group buy on the gears. I would like to stay with 4.10 for now. But...until I do diff gears someday these t case gears would be great. Also I have two bad studs on my TC output flange that need to be changed. I can't take my driveshaft off again...next time I will be changing the studs which I have to take out the tcase anyways.

I would be in on a group buy, too, if cheaper

The group buy would be awesome as I'm sticking with stock gears. The turbo should make up for that :grinpimp:

I imagine directly from Marlin would be the best price. Last year he had them on sale at 20% off. Would be cool if we could get that price. Unless a vendor wants to do it, but I'm assuming they probably wouldn't since the profit margin would be low.

Marlin currently lists them for $799, which is the same price they were originally offered at

Wait....when did you start wheeling your 80?

hey, I got some pink panties in Arizona, now :flamingo:

I emailed them. We shall see.

I still remember 13 years ago when you could call up and talk with Marlin. He actually custom bent me a shifter for my replacement W56 with a machined spacer for my body lift just though a phone call.
