Those are the same people who often ask me if my RHD is legal. I assure them that it isn't but I plan to take back roads on the way home to avoid law enforcement. :)

Back in the shop for some fine tuning - A) new heater core and B) new 80 Series brake booster.

A was clogged, and B was needed as the original had a leaky diaphragm. Now the truck heats, defrosts and stops. THANKS TOR!

Headed to Stockton on a shakedown cruise Sunday... 1,800 miles of smiles :)

Will also see some friends and get fitted for a 4x4 Labs rear bumper.

Stock 'Cruiser steering wheels are a little small for my mitts so I usually add a Wheelskin for better, warmer grip.

Yessir. Cruise control. Vortec ECMs from takeouts can be wired up very easily. The LS3 eRod ECM does not have programming/circuitry to support cruise so Torfab added a supplemental module to accomplish same resulting functionality. Relay switches on brake and clutch break the circuit just like factory. Works fine and frees me up to do emails and watch videos on long drives (not....).

Where can I get a KPH/MPH speedo face?

PS There are universal aftermarket kits you can install on just about any vehicle. Had this one on my FJ 62 and worked fine.
Universal add-on electronic cruise control system by Rostra

Hey Ward, would you know if Rostra's cruise controllers work with diesels? I'll call them eventually, but in case you know; thanks.

I believe so - all you should need to make their kit work:
a) A throttle cable or rod on the engine to allow the mechanical actuator to adjust engine speed, and
b) Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to tell the "brain" how fast you are traveling.

That's very bright ......
Obviously you know people who know people. :)

Nice ones, at that!

Thanks, Alberto. My wife passed on a used 100 or new 200, so........ now we have a new 73 :)

Bringing out the more rare and expensive accessories....
