You'd think a pilot's map would look more like: ;)

Ward,
I hope to see it in the Autumn!

Sorry you won't be going through the Bluegrass. Maybe you can adjust your route to come through Lexington?
Lemme see what I can do, Peter!

You know there is a waterfront lodge in the CLT area that's open between Logan's Run and the 70s meet

Edit: fixed freakin Apple auto correct

If I am still moving mulch at that time I have really bad problems ....

Actually, I want to see if the LS can generate enough wheel speed to allow the Burrito to hydroplane across the lake .... The 30 foot drop to the lake is a small problem though

Be careful what you wish for....

Like a Harrier, the LS3 generates enough lift to accomplish vertical travel with a light weapons load...30 ft no problemo.

Working plan:
Week 1) Drive to Logan's Run via KY, then park the 73 in a secure, undisclosed location in the Metro Charlotte area, then fly home for domestic duty
Week 2) Fly back to Charolette, drive to the 70 Series meetup at Oliver Springs (Sept 23-25), drive to Southern Georgia, park 73 in secure facility, fly home for domestic duty
Week 3) Fly to Southern Georgia, pick up 73, tour Southern US, drive to Hot Springs for Southern Cruiser Crawl - drive West Texas - stash truck, fly home
Week 4) Fly to Texas, tour SW/4 Corners, drive home to point of beginning

Prerequisites:
1) Secure spousal approval for approximately four weeks off - she/we care for her 95 yo mother at home
2) Confirm dates for events above and coordinate schedule with kid's wedding in Hawaii in October
2) Secure partner approval for coverage at work
3) Gear up the truck for road trip - service, fluids, etc.
4) Arrange storage in CLT, GA, TX
5) Make commitments for sponsorship of events and support for Terrain Tamer dealers and installing shops

CONTINUED

Smells real nice - no rattles, squeaks or other noises.......except the engine and Pat Benatar.

SIDE PANELS

Torfab crew filled and painted the dinged up side metal and built these cool panels out of plastic. Access ports are simple with compression latches. The whole thing is way too cool and no loosy-goosy or noises as above.

Wrap & Next Steps

Wicked Wraps in Mukilteo punched up some nice logos and got them installed. Leaving for No Cal Friday to visit family, Georg and Luke at 4x4 Labs to make final fit of the new bumper.

Tor will regear to 3.73 (its not fast enough....) and add a Harrop A9378 to the front (I got a good deal) :)

Then it is off to Cruise Moab in early May.

On a serious note those rear side panels are works of art.......Way cool.

Yeah - after having Kevin Rowland's stuff I was afraid I might not be happy without the fancy ports and hardware but Tor and Donovan did a great job. Very happy.

Tor's version is a little bit less involved but also quite a bit less at check-out time, I think. The speaker grilles, ventilation grilles, etc. all work just fine. My left side version is a little different than most due to configuration of jack access (vs. JDM units, I think).

The frosting on the cake was the fill/paint effort by the crew. The photos below ('before') don't do it justice, but the the interior side metal was pretty rough.
