The pics are large, so Google sent download links from my drive vs. actually including them at normal attachments. Let me know if you have problems accessing them.

For what it's worth, based on the pictures you posted of your harness and connectors, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go through the trouble of unwrapping it or ****ing with it much. Doesn't seem worth the risk.

thanks. @MScruiser just sent me a pic of a harness as well with some numbered connector guides....

i think i will unwrap it though, and try and sort out all of the things that were tapped into it over the years....clean it all out and rewrap....

***low tech -slow progress warning***

Painted and coated underbody and frame. Steering back in. Hubs tonight. Then brake lines.

Looks great, Lou

thanks. it's sure hard to get the frame perfect, sans fram-off....and even then, a nicely weathered one will never be perfect...

i am happy with the results thus far. waiting on a few more parts from @beno and a heater resto kit and will be well on the way to reinstall everything....

got the rear brakes adjusted as well and got them all closed up....

Looking nice. Is the drivetrain back together? Get that new clutch in? (apologies if I missed it, saw the motor a few pages back may have missed the rest)

I need to do exactly the same thing on my 1975 survivor but can never find the time to get to it. I am impressed with your energy!

not yet. need to get the engine crane back from #2buckets so i can bolt it all up.

soon.....

Word. Me too.

Am I missing something here? Getting these hubs and what not back in.

Been fiddling with it for a while. Seems a tad tight to me. Only showing a few spindle threads and I can tighten the main bearing nut but only have a fraction of the space for the lock washer piece and 2nd jam nut.

Maybe it's really tight because everything is new. I don't know.

There's no spin if I tighten the first nut enough for the rest of the hardware.

Ideas?.....

No comment on the above, but I did run across this at SOR. I have no idea if the pricing is good or not, but it might get you what you needed to get rolling on reassembly.

thanks. ive seen those....the stuff i was looking for was all the underhood and dash stuff that was not included in those kinds of kits....

on the hubs....i feel like i am close, i think its just the combination of teh beat hubs and the new deals and what not. ive torqued them down, spun and loosened and repeated....

i am where i think the driver's side is good to go, but the passenger side is giving me fits....going to torque down and jam and spin a few more times and see where that gets me.

So you think the new bearing inners are not wanting to let the hub assembly slide up onto the spindle fully?

i think its the back face of the hub not going into/sealing up with the seal that it slides in.....i feel like it may be pushing against it and not going in.....
