Well today was a hectic last dash to get as much done pre trip as I could.

I got the radius arm back on.

A/C lines made today and system charged. Ice cold it's amazing how well it works.

Got my Cruisen off road step sliders on, great quality and now my wife and son can get in worry free.

I head out on the Whipsaw trail tomorrow and then likely the Ashnola traverse after. Got a full weekend on the trail ahead of me. Looking forward to it!

Have fun and take bug spray!
Too bad you'll miss Cruiser Day though

Who did your ac charge?
Yeah got two cans lol, I prefer to do this trail in the fall but this group seems keen to be mozzy bait. I'm good have not been out with thoes guys in a long time.

I will miss it unfortunatly the date for cruiser days was set after I agreed to do the trip.

I had fraser vally radiator build the lines and charge it did a good job on my Isuzu so was confident in there ability.

Made is back from my trip, no issues encountered at all. Trail is significantly harder in some spots than in the past (5 years ago). Had a great time, did not take any of the bypasses. Bugs where not as bad as expected.

This thing crawls up obsticals like nothing I have ever wheeled before. 1st in the nv4500 and the 3:1 low are impressive.

The only negative about the truck is the weight, a few I sat at the bottom of an obstacle just slowly spinning all 4 tires. I got up everything just some required a diffrent line or a higher gear. Having said that I went everywhere the SAS'ed minI trucks with 4.7 low and 1/2 my weight went.

Great time camping with old and new friends. This is my camping spot on the 2nd night.

One of the obstacles that has been carved out over the years by many trucks. 6 years ago when I last did the trail this was not an obstacle.

Now as you drive up the wall on the drivers idea is as tall as my roof and it's a near vertical step 4ft up.

Lunch break at 6000ft. Great viewpoint.

I have more pictures trickling in from others on the trip.

So nothing new just wanted to update everyone that I am really enjoying the truck. We all loaded in it to head up to the family cabin in Whistler this weekend for my wife's birthday. Drove great, no issue keeping up to speed on the road up, engine temp with A/C on never broke 180f.

I'm really starting to relax and just enjoy the drive now when I take it out. No more post swap nerves just enjoyment.

Best part was my wife on the drive looked over and said "I'm glad you stuck with it, I love having it back on the road" so with that I knew all was well.

I have started planing a few things to do this fall, mainly just maintinene that has slipped by with all the swap worries. I'm also going to be putting on the new SCS F5 in 17x9 3.5" BS with likely 37" AT's of some sort, short list at the moment is Cooper ST max or BFG Ko2. Also going to take and swap the rear axle housing as mine is rusted bond repair. The rear frame and body will be getting a good go over and paint plus soak down of fluid film.

Likely not a lot of updates till then.

Love fluid film, cheap and effective, got a half gallon left from 2 years ago and going to do it again this fall.

Have you considered the recentered HMMWV wheels and tires? After my GG 35's run out that's where I'm headed, bead locked and cheap 90% 37" GY MTR's. All said $1000 for rims and tires and another couple hundy for recenters.

Glad you stuck with it too, it's got to be a very rewarding experience getting it in and just going now!

Worked on getting my e-brake working today, it's all functional other than not keeping to truck from rolling now. I clearly need to adjust them now but that is easy.

WhIle I had the wheel off I fit my brothers 15x10 3.5" back space wheels with 37x12.5 Pitt bull rocker........um yeah it looked amazing lol like a little arctic truck.

Even fit inside the flairs so tecnivally legal.

I am really happy with how the 37x12.5x17's fit on my 80 with the tundra wheels. It's amazing how well our wheel Wells gobble up so much rubber.

Yeah as soon as the new SCS wheels are ready I'll be going 37x12.5r17. I test fit the sample wheel on yesterday and it looks amazing, lip is level with the wheel flair.

Intrested to see what to think of thoes cooper STT pro when its time for tires. Leaning towards the bfg ko2 at the moment.

I wanted to test the Pittbulls becouse on thoes wheels it's more agressive than the SCS wheels will be.

I so love the look of a fat sidewall 15" tho....

When you get north of $300 per tire I get anxious!

So far I am really happy with the Cooper STT Pro's. There is slight hum when at speed, but you don't hear it over the Cummins unless you have the window down and are listening for it.

So tonight I got saucy and ordered a AFC live v2 and afc live spring kit.

The AFC live is an in cab fuel controller for the v7100 injection pump and basically eliminates the need to get fuel plates and mess with the star wheel to get the tune just right. The thing I like about this setup is I can tune it on the fly. So if I tune it down here to sea level safe EGT but load up and head to Colorado loaded and at 11k ft I can adjust and tune my fueling and EGT's on the fly.

The beauty is I can tune and keep it clean so no coal out the exhaust unless I want (never going to happen).

Video of it working.

I also changed my oil this weekend I made it 5k kms so it was time for a first oil change. I also took a sample for a Blackstone analysis. Oil was still gold wirh non of the usual pitch black soot usually found on a diesel.
