I found a picture I took of the oil just before the oil change. This oil had 5300kms on it.

Still nice and gold.

That's amazing. I've never had a diesel that the oil looks that good. Are you sending in a sample to Blackstone? I'm sending another in a few weeks.

I used to do 18000 miles with Amsoil w the bypass filter and testing on my 12v. Though at the time I was doing well over 1000 miles a week

Yes it looks great!

A sample is going to black stone just need to get it to the post office.

Damn, I wish my oil looked like that at 5000km...

This was with a non bypass Donalson Blue. It's now got a Baldwin dual filter with a build in 2mu bypass.

Damn that's cool. I wonder if it's possible to get something that will work on a 1hz pump. Glad to see the Cummins working for you after the 4bd1 shenanigans!

Tuning my truck will soon be this easy.

I also got there AFC max travel spring kit.

Looking forward to see how this works in the next few weeks.

I'm also going to get on re timing this thing to around 16ish deg.
Nice. Where are you thinking about mounting it?

That's very cool Jeremy! So the "fuel rate" adjustment is altering the aneroid pin profile (or fuel per psi boost), and the "power" adjustment is the main fuel? How involved is the install?

Hey Ian,

There is no pin on the P7100 this basically removes the need for the torque plate (arinoid pin on yours) and instead it uses the AFC foot to limit the speed that the fuel comes in and max fuel. Thoes are both adjusted via the two dials on the box.

Wirh this I can basically max the pump out at the turn of a knob. This pump will produce a lot more fuel than my He351cw can use.

I got the AFC live and AFC max travel spring kit installed today. Had it tuned and tuning running well with in about 5 min. Picked up huge power from 2000rpm till 3000rpm, Boost is still topping out at 18psi but I easily doubled the power it was making and still burning clean just the slightest of haze out the exhaust.

I do still have puss poor response below 2000rpm, no amount of adjusting the AFC live would make it improve. I flipped the full fuel switch on the AFC live and at 2000rpm I blacked out 3 lanes of highway for a split second. I hate doing it but needed to make sure I was not dealing with a fuel flow issue. I still had no response do low and adjusting the few rate dial has vertically no effect on this below 2k rpm. It will not smoke at all below 2k rpm. I think I may need to slid my AFC housing forward more, the star wheel is all the way forward (minimum spring load).

The other issue is the lack of overall boost, not sure why this turbo is limited to only 18psi when others with the same turbo are easily running 35-40psi.

Not worried about any of this just need to tinker on it more.

Once I got the AFC live in I only had about 30min to drive it today.

That's wierd. When I installed my AFC housing my boost went from 18 max to 25-30. My <2k rpm response is slow only if I have my snorkel as the only air inlet. Do you have any air restrictions?

Do the 12v's have a boost elbow or is that just the 24v, because you can get an adjustable 1 cheap?

Yes boost elbow. Or plug it and tune the fuel for boost. 18 is factory waste gate setting

I have the large open filter all the dodge guys upgrade too at the moment so no air flow issues there.

Yes mine has a boost elbow at the moment I have the refence line plugged.

I think 21psi is the factory setting on the he351cw. It is already plugged for testing.

Today I had about an hour to play with it, turned out the factory installed potion of the AFC housing was far to conservative. I moved it all the way forward and I now have response be love 2000rpm. It's still not where I think it should be but it's very drivable now. I still can not get it to smoke at all preboost or below 2000rpm. I'm not complaining about that just may still have a an adjustment out of wack. Did not have a lit of time to play with the tuning side. I have it running clean with a lot more power than it had before. Likely a afc adjustment is all it needed but I like the ability to change things on the fly and it's works amazingly well. So far I highly recommend the AFC live.
