My expo rig-originally an 80 - I bought for $700 with a bent axle and slapped some baconbits (55 parts) on it and maybe have $4k cash and $1.2million in sweat equity: First cut / last cut.

At first glance I thought it was a land rover pickup. She looks great.
1973 FJ40 Expo-lite build.
...a -40 is a bit too small for two adults, two kids, and two dogs for prolonged expo work without a trailer. I’ll have to remedy that.

In your first pic, is that a tent attached to your rig, or does your ARB awning have some sort of drop down shelter ?
I work in downtown San Rafael and I see you drive by my office all the time! Very cool truck, I never once mistook it for a Rover.Yeah the original plan was for a softtop rear to somewhat hide the Landrover-seque top shape. But the pickup is so much more useful without the softtop hoops and bars in the way. at some point I will get around to de-Landrover the top
