Let me add, it's paintable, but hard to get good coverage because the rough surface. If you're painting white on black LZ then it will be really hard to cover and the paint will wear off quicker in high use areas. Overall a great product.

How messy is that stuff, you lay down plastic? I bought the kit, have not used it yet.

Depends on how you're applying it. With sprayer it can get messy if it splatters. Roller applied works, too. I sprayed most of mine, but did use a roller for some spots.

Here's what Scrap was referencing. I "frenched" the receiver into Bucky's rear bumper to make it more snag free. Mine is not a true recovery point, nor is it heavy duty. Only attached to the rear cross member and bumper. I pull a small utility trailer with it. It carries my bikes without issue.

How did you mount your spare tire in the back? I winched the spare up on my new winch just now and it’s pretty wobbly. The donor crossmember had some flat spots welded on to it to likely stabilize that but I’d like to look at some storage area mounts.

I'm not him, but I added 2 of these above the cargo panel with nuts and bolts:

and then just used a ratchet strap.

Holds tight in the same spot as his.

Nathan (my 15 year-old) fabbed up a simple frame with metal pieces from Lowes, a couple of J-hooks and wing nuts. His first welding project. Not pretty, but it's hidden so... Works great. Very secure. No rattles or squeaks.

Tell him nice work.

Smart and simple.

Final Lizard Skin applied. Tape removed then I cleaned up the firewall pads real good. They will go back on as soon as everything dries up
