Went right through the stomping grounds of my youth in Wytheville, not sure what you loved in Ft. Chiswell though? That tunnel "where are we" is about 5 miles outside Bluefield, WV not sure if that was the first or second tunnel though.

Only 4 weeks away. Been talking with JP and getting excited. So far he has done nothing on his 45. So we are actually ahead of schedule. I on the other hand am getting ready. Going to pick up a major piece of gear tonight. Probably the most important piece.
I only hooked you up with that bike
and basically sold my soul today and got us a more modern, fuel efficent, and just plain bad ass drivetrain for the 45 
so yeah......... I'm da man

Got it home put some gas in it and went for a ride. 6.5 hp on a minibike hauls ass. And considering I paid 100 for it and upon getting back from the trip will sell it for 250 it's not a bad investment. I am taking the silly tank off it though. It serves no function.
It needs a throttle cable. Trying to steer it and hold the throttle open is a little tricky.

Tank and fenders are all coming off. I'm going to try to save weight and get it looking old school. I'm also going to weld another set of foot pegs in the back for JP. I do know the light is staying. It's really bright and has potential as a spare headlight when JP's electrical system melts.
Can I please o please get a pic of you driving the bike with JP on the back?
I can't wait to see you guys do this trip!
You gonna need a bigger seat if you and JP's fat ass are gonna honey up on that bike for your cross country trip, especially since JP's 45 ain't gonna make it out of his driveway

Nah that's a big ass seat. If I need it bigger I'll weld something on the back.
I've been looking for a large white helmet. I will have to say it's been harder to find something cheap that looks the part. I have a really nice ATV helmet but it would look to plain to wear on this trip. I need a football helmet or something really old and really stupid. Has to be stupid.
