what is so special about that engine and tranny to go to ohio for?

I had both my caliper bolts back out on my 80 2 yrs ago. Sucked the entire fam was in the car. Took out ABS sensor too. Glad y'all are OK.

glad you got it buttoned up and things didnt get too hairy. Awesome job finding the bolt, thats crazy. Times like these it would be good to remember which bolt on the 80 is the same odd size. Is it a seat belt or second row seat anchor???

As I recall the caliper bolt is fine spline and most of the other bolts the same size on an 80 are coarse, so it is hard to swap out. I actually had 2 spares in the Cado just for this reason, but mine never came out as a I used the right rebuild process the 3 times I had the axles torn down :)

The other major fun item are the knuckle studs. They need to be replaced if you have never done them. They get stretched/worn over time and you should NEVER reuse them. If anyone rebuilt a front 80 axle and didn't include new studs I would be skeptical. I rebuilt the Cado the second time due to failed studs after not replacing them during PM.

We made it back around 1 at night. Had a blast. Will be one of those things I will always remember. Jp thanks for the good times.
