Welcome to the mudness! That’s a fine edition to the family. BTW as a side note it’s easier to learn to drive a manual transmission than to install an automatic. I’m just going to leave that right there!!! ;)

Yes I was waiting for this. I realize most cruiser heads are also manual transmission lovers. It appears it goes hand in hand. I wish I was as confident driving one on Dallas highways. I suppose practice makes perfect. I will try to take it for a spin and then decide. If @ceylonfj40nut had his way, it will be kept manual and converted to a Diesel.

Glad you started a thread, and nice 40! That's a fine family of car lovers you have.

Looking forward to your land cruiser journey (that's polite speak for addiction).
@dogfishlake I was feeling a little left out with all the car talk at the dinner table. Now I can talk about mine. Still coming up with a name. Any ideas? If men name their cars with female names, should females use male names?

Sounds great cowgirl! I hope to have the opportunity to meet you there. BTW my 45 is named Samson. Choose wisely young padawan!

@POTATO LAUNCHER and family thanks for shop talk in your garage, on the way to dinner, at dinner, after dinner, and during our night cap.

I never say no to the chance to take a ride in your sweet FJ60. The bowfin rack from @dogfishlake and DNP carpet are just primo touches.

@CaptClose shed a tear of remorse because of his separation anxiety from his beloved Cream Puff that he just sold. However, a hug, double order of refried beans, and a warm crispy chimichanga at Abuelos brought him to his safe place.

Awesome evening with the Archers. We love your pooches Smalls and Carmel and your sugar gliders Jax and Lila.

and watch optimistic farmers tilling sand to justify their government subsidies.
@POTATO LAUNCHER we eagerly await shop talk.

That is conservation tillage. It is taking the rough cut leftovers from the harvest and tilling it in the off season to allow all the nutrients to be put back into the soil and allow greater capture of winter rains or snows into the soil to make it more productive without adding any manufactured chemicals into the biosystem. It is possibly one of the most environmentally responsible things food producers can do to help nature.

I enjoy how a name that feels right to you just hits when it is right. You won't know when, but you will know the right name immediately. I'm still waiting for the name epiphany for my 45 and my 60.

Maybe your family will need to have a calendar on the fridge to see who gets to be the car talk chairperson at dinner each night!

Always good to see traveling Cruiser folks.
Mike / @ceylonfj40nut and Frank / @CaptClose enjoyed the evening with you guys.
We will catch you on the flip side when you bring @cowgirl40's yet to be named 40 back through.

@4Cruisers / John I shared that story about the hand off at dinner last night. Once your area was mentioned I said they need to get in touch.
Make sure they both get the Chili at the Cafe on the Square. I know @BombCity and myself enjoyed it. Nothing quite like a roadtrip with a good friend and good food.

Actually....

Yeah! Keep in coming. Love road trips.

Save that triple locked CE too.

Hope to see you guys on my own road trip in a couple weeks-ish

She looks like a “Sandy” to me. My 16 year olds suggestion. I think you might be right. It’s sort of sticking.

Land cruiser pickers !!!

Yes !

Much better than the “land cruiser horders” we have several of them here on mud ... not that that is a bad thing :)
@JohnnyC well.... this might be crossing a fine line between pikers and horders... I am afraid to admit. Considering we are seeing more and more landcruiaers on the big screen these days we might need to go into the movie business to justify our craze.
