Man you are so close. What paint color/code that is that?

Im exhausted. Its finally pretty much finished and road worthy. Tonight we got the brake lights an aignals working and i replaced the slave cylinder which had rusted in its compressed state.

Time to rest. I have pulled so many late nights the last two months. I have driven to work on the truck till 1 am four nights a week.

The first drive had a little mishap. I caught a noise early which turned out to be a front wheel that hadnt seated properly on the hub. We went back in the chase car for the high lift and then we were on our way for the first fill-up.

I cant wait to finally being it home this weekend. I am going to unveil it saturday to my Dad's brothers and sisters since they are visiting. This truck in its current state was my Dad's dream so i know this would have made him so proud.

Here is some eye candy:

Great job, I'm amazed at what you accomplished in the time frame. What turned out to be the issue on the ignition wiring?:beer::beer:

Thank you.

It was either the coil or the ignitor. I never really found out since i replaced both at the same tine and corrected the problem. Instant Spark with the pertronix coil and ignotor II!

This is my 5th time to try to post this...

My trip back was pretty eventful. I had a bubble in the coolant which caused a sudden spike and spew on the highway. I saw it rising, cut the engine, and rolled into a gas station. This was the first trip over a few miles so to get all burped out at some point. We did a little cleanup of the hood, and it has run cool since.

The first trip to work was interesting as well. I lost the clutch and all gears in the middle of traffic. I pulled the truck by the front bumper into a side street. The slave cylinder rod that CCOT provided was too short. It had popped out and wedged the clutch. I was able to find a small mesquite log to use for leverage on the fork. We bled the clutch and were on our way!

Christmas with my Dad's family went great and they were all amazed at the truck. Especially those who had seen it in 1000 pieces two months ago. Here she sits home sweet home.

Im so glad we bit the bullet and got completely new Toyota door weather stripping, emblems and lights. This made a huge difference.

I refused to spend 26 dollars per light for my rear license plate frame, so i modifies these 3 dollar lights (available everywhere) to work. I needed to drill one hole on each side and run an m4 screw and lock nut.

What do you need on the interior an dash? Just knob configuration?

My truck may be a little bit confusing because it is a mishmash of two years. My knob configuration is correct.

I do have several spare 77 interior parts that could not transfer over such as seat mounts, everything fuel related including all of the metal covers and evap, and some rear heater parts.

Mainly the knobs , just haven't found a clear shot of what's suppose to be there as I have one blank hole right now to the left of the choke control . Mine has the warning lamps for seatbelt/brake left of the steering column which I think is right . There were a lot of missing parts on this thing when I got it , mostly about half it's fasteners....grrr.

I can take a shot of mine today, sounds like we are set up in a similar layout.

CCOT clutch carnage:

Here is the slave BEFORE the pedal is pushed. You can see how far the piston is out even before fluid pushes it open. Mind you, the CCOT rod is adjusted as far out as possible. The nut is hanging off the end by only a few threads. I was going to just replace the rod, but i decided to check the piston and O-ring first. I will call them tomorrow for a new slave.
