I appreciate all the input but it's all after the fact. I work with what I have and is easy to deal with. I could care less about a factory looking floor. I plan to use this truck.
There are many paths to get to a certain point. I forge my own way. Is it the best way.......probably not, but it's how I roll.

Hell yeah man, keep at it. Fun to watch! 🍺

Got a new toy.....I mean tool......rivet nut installer. Wasted no time and tested it out. I installed 4 nuts into the sill for the tire carrier catch. It turned out great and holds the carrier tight.

Thanks. I did some more reuse with the latch. I flatened the barn door catch in the press. Threw a couple badges on for effect. Yes, the Toyota one is a cheap repop. I had it in the stash. Great for mock up. Need to order all new stuff including the reverse light which is roughly markered in.

Love the use of the old latch.

A job well done, Jack. You grafted all the right places, I especially like the use of 40 corner windows. 45 corner windows are getting harder to find. I had the same issue on a 79 tire carrier bushings being worn out. It rattled to no end. I found the plastic bushings but instead used them as a reference and purchased a similar size brass bushings and had a friend turn them on a lathe to fit. Enjoyed following your build.

Glad everybody is diggin' the rear treatment. Trying to reuse as much as possible and keep it looking factory Toyota.
I got one of my 2 seats delivered today. I placed it in the cab and climbed in. First time I sat in this creation. Fits well. It will be even better once mounted correctly and raised up.
So all you doubters can rest assured..... the 4 inch stretch was enough. Just for reference, I am 6'4 and 250.
The seat has sliders and the back rest reclines or folds forward to access the space behind.
Now it time to sit in the cab and pretend I am driving.....make motors sounds as well.

Seats look great. 4" is plenty. I decided not to do any extension to mine, but I raised the seats up quite a ways so that you gain leg room vertically. Also makes a huge difference plus I prefer a higher driving position, can see over the hood better. I'm not as tall as you though, so, take that for what it's worth. 6'1"

Looks great Jack👍
